⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Quick. Witty. Poignant.

70 pages of commentary on life from those who have finished living it. Written in a journal format from the findings of Vonnegut as if he had traveled down "the blue tunnel" to interview people in Heaven.

Highly recommend this as a way to break up some longer, heavier reads, but also make you giggle, think, and feel the depths of the human experience.

A good and very quick read from one of the greatest writers out there. Can't get enough of Vonnegut.

As long as you go into this knowing it isn't really the same writing style as his actual books, this is quite enjoyable. It is a series of conversations with the dead by the hands of Dr. Kevorkian and his ability to nearly kill Vonnegut and still bring him back.

It is a really interesting concept and I like how it was executed. This is a lighthearted piece from the brain of the man who was always thinking. It's such an interesting idea I wish he would've ran with it as a book, but I'm happy with what I got.

I can't wait to get my first tattoo this Friday--Kurt Vonnegut inspired. The only writer who's views I've found will hold up in the eye of the public well for eternity. The only writer who I'd permanently honor on my body.

A very quick read but has all the expected Vonnegut elements. Tying in places and characters from previous works, the more Kurt Vonnegut I read, the more I crave to read MORE. This particular collection of short interviews were merely bread crumbs; not enough to make a meal of but very delicious.

An extremely short and quick read. The text is a nice font and practically double-spaced :) I’ve been wanting to read Kurt Vonnegut for a while and I always have a thing for short books so gave it a shot.

Kind of struggling to describe the plot but it is essentially a radio talk show transcribed as a quirky series of interviews with various historical figures and characters. I wasn’t aware of some of the interviewees and their references, but enjoyed this book overall as it had some fresh lines and fun takes. I’m a fan of the writing style and definitely want to explore more of Vonnegut’s novels.

Never thought there'd be a Vonnegut novel I didn't love. This felt rushed and under-cooked. It did not feel like a conversation, more like a man shouting lunacies on the sidewalk.

Easy read. Ridiculous yet entertaining. No substance really but I also enjoyed the concept of these afterlife interviews

Legendary writer Kurt Vonnegut wants to interview a slew of people, the problem is they've already died. So he enlists Dr. Jack Kevorkian to give him near death experiences so he can get to the Pearly Gates do his interviews and then come back.

This book could easily be read in a single sitting, but I intentionally would only read one or two segments (2 to 3 pages apiece) at a time so I could really enjoy them. They're funny and often thought provoking. A really cute and fun read.
