This 1982 version of Lear’s 1871 classic is ABSOLUTELY ENCHANTING! Beautifully illustrated by Ruth Sanderson, the soft but luscious colors add to the charm and Pussycat’s outfits (especially her wedding gown) are to die for. And Owl. What a dapper gent. This book will really make you want to run out and get your very own runcible spoon.

This book has a very nice rhythm to it and very good rhymes.

You can almost sing it to the children. Because of this, I would suggest it to be read to children within the EYFS.

The illustrations are very well drawn and are very detailed.

This is a poetry book about an owl and a cat that take a voyage together where they danced by the light of the moon where the author writes the story in nonsense poetry form. This is a great read for students in grades k-2. This is a fun read for students who enjoy reading poetry that is easy to understand and is a little humorous.
