Why I Read this Book: eBay is a company and way of doing business that has allowed hundreds of thousands of people to achieve entrepreneurial success that was never thought possible. This has been a great guide to sharing in that success.

My guess is that some of you may have sold something on eBay in the past and I am sure that most all of you are the proud owner of an eBay item. Whether this is your first thought at building an eBay business or if you already have one, this book will prove invaluable to your eBay business’s creation, growth and of course success.
With every new business come even more endless possibilities for individual success. Unfortunately many of us fall into the trap of thinking that “everything has already been done,” which can be detrimental to one’s success. This of course could not be farther from the truth. Just look at things like the internet, personal computer or the mobile phone. We could go on and on about the successes that have spun off of these inventions alone.
eBay could not be anymore of a prime example. This company alone has done so much for our entrepreneurial society. Over half a million people have made a full or part time job out of selling on eBay. It is pretty amazing to think how severely eBay has changed the lives of each and every one of these people (in a positive way of course). Before eBay, the idea of having one’s own business was all but reality to so many of these people. What a fantastic win/win eBay has been.
As you can probably tell, I am constantly looking for ways to increase my odds and possibilities for success. For me, taking a shot at opening up an eBay business was a no brainier. One of my best practices is to give every opportunity a fair try to see if it is something I can and want to do. eBay was no different. A lot of the books out there should do just fine but I was meticulous about finding a book that best articulated the eBay business model and concept as well as provided clear and real examples. Miller does a fantastic job with this book. He covers everything from the business plan to financing to buying inventory to shipping to accounting to taxes, advertising and just about anything else you could think with regards to your eBay business. This truly is the all in one book for finding success as an eBay entrepreneur.
The most valuable and motivating portion of the book for me were the countless real-life examples of people who have built business with eBay’s model that have changed their lives and lead them to great success. It is so inspiring to hear the freedoms these individuals achieved through their new business. Miller fills the book with these mini business cases and links to their websites so the reader can experience it first hand. I can’t tell you how powerful of a combination it is to read about a business model, see someone who is successful and then learn first hand what got them there. The examples alone are worth the buy.
Before going about the rest of your day today, take a few minutes to think of what you might like to try selling on eBay and then make it real. This book, a few hours and some drive is all you need. The fact of the matter is that eBay is here to stay and its services are right out there only a few mouse clicks away for you to take full advantage.
