This book would be useful for someone who hadn't read any of the previous and longer books in the series. Anyone who is familiar with the other books will recognize a lot of repetition in this volume. Much of the advice didn't seem very specific or insightful for motherhood. Carlson would have done better to call this book a "Special Selection for Parents" as most of the stories in here are from his perspective as a father.

I liked this book. It an easy read (except for the unbelievably tiny print :). It offered gentle reminders of what is truly important in life, and simple ways to balance the demands of motherhood with life in general. I will definitely read this multiple times.

Great book! Easy read for someone looking to check off another book off their list fast.
