The main character was a twit. I quit.

This takes us out of the French world and I to Iran. I liked this book in that I know very little about Iran, I found it informative.

How can one book be sooo bad?

NOT a beach read (thought it was); found it to be equal parts second hand embarrassment and cackling at these incredibly shallow characters (written with depth)

The last 100 pages was really exciting. The 250 preceding pages were really dull.
