Couldn't resist a memoir from one of my favorite authors. An interesting approach -- a year in the life, instead of the life overall. She ranges back and forth through her life, however, and sprinkles her running account of current activities with memories of the past.
I found this a fascinating read. James kept a journal for a year and this is the result. She shares snippets of her daily, reflects on British society and her history, mentions friends who are other authors I like, and writes about the craft of writing.
