My 2nd time reading this great book. It was even better - multiple laugh our loud moments. The scene when Sport invites Harriet, Harry, & Seymour over for lunch at his mother's mansion was comedy gold. The book held an unflinching magnifying glass to terrible adult behaviors: domestic violence, alcoholism, greed, racism/ antisemitism, neglect, social climbing. The brilliant juxtaposition of tragedy with comedy made me adore this book. Sport is just a great character: a boy who is saddled with the responsibility of taking care of his father & himself.
