This book was a cute sequel to the City of Ember. I enjoyed it. As the same with the last book this one is very juvenile. It's a book meant for 3rd-8th graders. Just saying this for my adult friends that might want to read it. If you have kids in that age group then I feel like they'll love this book!!!

Overall this was good time. I enjoyed continuing the story of the people of ember. They experienced quite few challenges with the new environment and the differences in merging of other communities and mindsets. It was a very refreshing portrayal of society norms and moral behaviors. The ending was a bit underwhelming. However, I did enjoy the new and old characters in the story. I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

I loved this book it had me worried at parts but they managed to pull through. I will say the latter half is predictable to a certain extent. Which could be because of it being a lower reading level. Overall would recommend, it even has a good lesson that everyone should live by.

I read these books what feels like forever ago, and I enjoyed them back then, but it’s been so long I don’t think I can give it a rating.
