This is a hilarious!  Not only does Ruby Ann tell us of the gossipy goings on of her trailer park, but makes it sweet and endearing rather than trashy and sordid.  It's a good book to read on an airplane or on a car trip, you can pick it up at any point and read something funny to pick you up.

Want to know what's really funny?  I actually have a few recipes that are similar to these.  Apparently anything involving dipping crackers or chips into something hot with meat and/or melted cheese is considered white trash cooking.  It's all in the marketing presentation, using Martha's hook.  Ha ha ha ...

The holidays she has menus for besides the obvious (Christmas, THanksgiving, etc.) tell you that anytime's a great excuse to throw a party.  Although I doubt anyone north of the Mason Dixon would see fit to throw a party for Reba McEntire.

I enjoyed reading this cookbook more than any other cook-book I own. I laughed out loud on just about every story. Ruby Ann is a gifted story teller for sure. I own every  one of Ruby Ann Boxcar's books and this one is my favorite. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet in any of her books and not sure that I will, I just love reading the stories in them. Once you realize that Ruby Ann Boxcar is actually a man in drag, then read between the lines of some of the things she/he is saying you will find her books really humorous!

I love Ruby's stories the people who live in her trailer park are so wonderful, great recipes!

I have purchased several of Ruby's books they are a laugh a minute and have great ideas and food ideas.

I got this book to have some fun reading some funny stories and it did not let me down this is a very entertaining book the recipes are very good it is amazing what she can do with a can of tomato soup wow what a fun you can have when you tell people what is in the recipes after they eat it and watch there face for the reaction. Luv it.

This book was a great read that provided tons of laughs along with some great recipes! Each chapter is packed with great humor and Ruby Ann describes her neighbors vividly! You'll love the recipes provided in this book and also the great stories that go with them.

All of the Ruby Ann recipe books are great. Some really good and unusual recipes.

Hilarious reading & some of the trashy recipes were actually good !
