This is an enchanting story about the special relationship between the old and the young. Despite the adults in the story giving up on Nancy due to her dementia, Wilfred, the young boy, seeks to help her and ‘find’ her memory. A lovely book to address the issues surrounding generational divides.

I enjoyed this story about a young boy trying to help an elderly lady find her memory again. It is important to identify the special bond between Wilfrid and Mrs Nancy. Quite a innovative idea, such a young boy having a close bond with residents in the nursing home next door to his house. Lovely book to read though.

An example of the magic of children's books done well

I *LOVE* this book! I recently realized that the 2 Mem Fox books I've read I thought were both fantastic so I decided to request more of her books. In the story a little boy is friends with his neighbors at the old person's home and his interactions with them are precious...but the way he helps his most favorite friend there gives me goose bumps just thinking about it.
