A mind-opening journey through some parts of the so-called food system. The parts on farming, the evils of monoculture, the importance of grass, were especially enlightening. I don't normally eat beef and I would definitely reduce the intake even more.
The most shocking part for me was the 'pastoral organic' revelation. I wonder if the organic products sold in Indonesia as are bad as the greenwashed examples in this book, which are all about the US market.
The later parts of the book - hunting and cooking - were not as interesting for me as the earlier parts. Hence the four stars. Still, a fascinating read and highly recommended to everyone.
