The saga is over and this book hung.

(spoilers) The book was really good, it finished with Brian finding the dead couples daughter and he goes on a hunt to find the killer bear. He takes the dog with him and when he loses the tracks, the dog smells the way. They are in a meadow when Brian realizes that the bear is hunting him and suddenly attacks. Brian's bow is knocked out of his hand and his arrows are everywhere. He grabs an arrow and stabs the bear, but that's not enough, he grabs another arrow and stabs him again, the bear falls onto him and he thinks that he's dead, but wakes to find a dead bear on him and the dog licking him. It ends when he takes the bear back to his camp and says 'there's a lot of work to do'.

only one last book about Brian to read- I can't believe I never read them when I was a child. I was obsessed. If you like survival stories and books about nature you should read these.

I love these stories. Brian is a great character and the plot is exciting. Out in the wild, Brian finds a wounded dog. He tries to figure out how the animal was hurt. He has a bad feeling about something. He just doesn't know what.
