I still liked it, but thought L connected the dots way too fast.

Having the power to kill, even if done for "Greater Good" is still turn your soul to Darkness...

And in this part... Light can't get more Dark...
Specially with his encounter with "The Woman";

Naomi Misora, a woman who wanted Justice..to who killed her fiancée..
A woman strong enough to Detect who can be Kira..

Yet she just went to him... in a strange twist of fates..

---------------

This volume is even more dark , since Kira decided to eliminate the FBI agents that investigate the case of Kira..
He made a plan in work... it's brilliant really but yet so dark..

And a Woman, Naomi Misora, way out of this investigation team is aware of the dark plan from the beginning of this volume, yet she didn't know for sure..who is Kira.

She tried to help her fiancée yet he won't listen... much to Kira's luck...
Kira who thinks a God is on his side after all....

--------------
I find this part is even more thrilling in some parts yet kinda sad..
And it's even more dangerous to Light...who already proved to be more twisted than we thought..

"Woman" 4 ☆ -although later you'll appreciate the woman here.
"Slots" 4☆ -smart yet dark
"Confluence" 4☆
"One" 5☆
"God" 5☆ -breathtaking one
"Countdown" 5☆ -even more breathtaking....and sad.
"Temptation" 4☆
"Phone Call" 4☆
"Handstand" 5☆

And watching the Anime a year later -in order to start reading the second half of the series 7 to 12)... I can't shrug the feeling how sad it is the story of Naomi Misora...
The anime captured her shock brilliantly. . And the sad ending a bit made me lost hope...

Yet I still believe she may have another role..may be..

The plot development in this Manga series has far surpassed my expectations. I still find it phenomenal that so much has been packed into so little text! Tsugumi Ohba, you have me in awe!

This is the second volume in the Death Note series and continues following the story of teenager, Light Yagami, who is the current owner of the Death Note - a magical notebook that can be used to kill all those whose names are written within the pages. He also inherits a Shinigami death god as his accomplice until he has either died himself or he has filled the pages of the notebook.

The plot progression in this novel gave this an entirely different feel from the first installment. We were introduced to new characters, the mysterious L from the first volume was revealed to us and we got a more in-depth look into the minds of Light's enemies, who are the police force, which includes his own father.

It is a unique perspective to read about a murderer and yet feel totally aligned to his cause. There are no definite binaries as the 'bad' guys are the police and our 'good' guy is a serial killer. Both are good and both are bad, which highlights the reliability of our protagonist and brings into question the morality of our anti-villain and whether his cause is actually as just as we initially believed it to be.

This one was so good OMG!

It was an excellent read again!

We check on with Light as he is evading the detection but this time we see what he does to Raye and takes out the FBI agents and how he does it is fascinating and then the police meeting L and him being revealed and that awesome and their focus on that front and then Light meeting Ray's fiancee and what he does next is fascinating and changes so many things and ups the stake like nobody else and I love the whole process of how he goes about it to take down or evades his enemies and finally tehe xtreme steps taken by L!

Its becoming a cat and mouse game between the two of them and its awesome and really well written, two characters on the top of their game and how they evade each other and how other players are involved and the moral and philosophical arguments this manga lends itself into is awesome and I love it for that plus the art is so much better. And there are humorous moments with Ryuk which I love! Again a solid volume!

I'm so addicted to this. It keeps getting more and more intense. Although I admire both boys for their intelligence I have to say that I'm team "L". He is weird, whereas Kira is more the antihero or something like that. I am eager to know what he will do next but I cannot approve his actions.

Staremo a vedere!

Read this in a single sitting. Because its impossible to stop anywhere in between.
The brain games got more intense! Characters are evolving better and churning more thrill!

The paperback black edition is something to die for.
Only grit is - why all the rules are not introduced in the beginning? Arrrgggh.

P.S.: If you've committed any sin, remove your real pic and real name from all of social media. Kira is watching you!

Vol 2 is even better than Vol 1.

Light has drawn a line, and he is no longer an anti-hero if he ever was one. He did a lot of terrible things in this volume.

Light is as intelligent as ever; I love how he anticipates and plans for everything; if he were a regular person, he would have gotten caught since.

L is as intelligent as Light; I doubt anyone would have made progress in a case like this.

I can't wait to read the next volume and see what happens next.

not ryuk, the shinigami, getting manipulated by light, a human, over something as trivial as apples LMAO
