At a pretty slower pace than the first one, and much less creepy. I loved learning about these two characters.

I know that this was very accurate from a historical perspective, but this was a very difficult book. Actually maybe even more so as I know that it was accurate. Still a good story, but difficult to get through all of it.

Entertaining

I thought it’d be heartbreaking to put aside Ikey and Mary, but boy o boy did I grow to love Tommo and Hawk. What scary/fun/silly adventures they got up to! A beautifully written book about finding yourself, even if it’s not who you thought you’d be.
