good read

A lot of misdirection, but very predictable. if you follow the money, its obvious early on who is guil of murder

I really enjoyed this book, almost couldn't put it down to see how the story developed next. However, I think it's a bit of a misnomer to call this mystery--and probably too tame for thriller. I don't think the author gives the reader enough clues to figure out the solution; it's more like following the hero-detective and hero-lawyer around the scene until they arrive (somewhat unexpectedly, in my opinion) at the solution.

Everybody needs to read a crime novel from time to time. This one fits. Intern working with the non-profit group using the Ford Theater turns up dead in the back alley. Lots of red herrings before we get to the fact that the xxxxx did it.

I enjoyed the setting in Ford's Theatre in this book and that Mac and Annabel were involved in solving the case, entertaining story.

Entertaining mystery set in Washington DC. I predicted who the murderer was early on, but enjoyed discovering how the crime was uncovered. I will read more of Margaret Truman's Capitol Crimes series.

What this book taught me is that anybody can write a book with enough time. Anybody.

Good but can only read a single book with Mackensie Smith in it for awhile.
