Towards the end there are a good 200+ pages of her saying the same thing over and over in as many ways possible, but other than that it was a great read. Getting through those pages made me want to cut my eyes out though. I would still highly recommend this book.

Only read The Fountainhead and it was horrible. Two stars is generous. I couldnt even make it through Atlas Shrugged. I love her book We the Living which I believe was her first novel and the nearest thing to an autobiography from her and I cannot believe the same author put out these two books. I don't really understand the hype over either one they are overdone and too long with no real point. The characters are not real to me just idols of the ideas in her own head. Both books are about a 'philosophy' and she should have stuck just to writing books on her philosophies cause these novels fell horribly flat.

A magnificent book, which is both thought-provoking and inspiring.

Fantastic! I love architecture, so this book had me right from the beginning. Add in the compelling love story between the poor, motivated eccentric and the rich taken woman and you find you keep wanting more.

Amazing. Couldn't put it down. Definitely read the series in order: 1) We the Living; 2) The Fountainhead; 3) Atlas Shrugged

Tho written in the 1920's these books give a clear picture of society today.

About Atlas Shrugged:
n  "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." —John Rogersn

In short, one of the most dangerous books ever written.

These are two of my favorite books as well. I read the Fountainhead first, and loved it. I did not know how she could top it. Then I read Atlas Shrugged. They are both huge undertakings, but I could not put them down. Make sure that you have lots of reading time when you start them, because you will not want to put them down.
