Quick easy read that is probably geared more towards a young adult audience but provides an interview of sorts with JK Rowling on her upbringing, how she became a writer, and the various sources of inspiration that ultimately became the Harry Potter series. It reads like an extended magazine interview and was illuminating and informative. Any fan of HP will find the background details fascinating.

I absolutely love the Harry Potter books and since this is the official autobiography I thought it was going to be great but it did fall a little short. I do understand it was intended for children but I guess I had my hope up very high. In the other hand I did get some insight on the background of Harry Potter.

I liked knowing the answers to people's questions, but I wish there was variety of questions.

It was an okay book. Very short, and more of just reading one long interview. I'm not really sure if the interview was conducted by one person or multiple, but it was interesting to read some things. Of course some things I read in this book didn't match up with the "authorize biography" I read about her months ago. In that book it said she was coming back from a work conference when she got stuck on the train and came up with Harry, but in this book apparently she had just visited her boyfriend. Not sure which one is the real version, although it does say that all this book is consisting of is her answers to questions, word for word. So meh. I love Jo and her work so I read it, it wasn't bad but nothing terribly special. I think the most interesting thing was she said chapter 9 in book 4 she re-wrote 13 times, I thought that was interesting and now I'm going to go read it myself.

I read this a few years back when I was really into the series. Definitely should be read by all HP fans wanting to know about more about the author.

Though written in 2000, when J K Rowling was only half-way through writing her stunning series, this little book is still a great insight into Rowling's passion, inspiration and life. Written in a question-answer format, it should interest all Harry Potter fans.

Conversation with JK Rowling by Lindsey Fraser Is a book of an interview with JK Rowling. in this book JK Rowling is the narrator like she is speaking in an interview with the author of the book. JK Rowling tells us about her life and how she came up with ideas for books and a lot more. I gave this book a four star review because I like books with pictures in them. This book shows biography because there is somebody telling about their life. I would recommend this book to anybody that likes biographies.
