I enjoyed reading this collection of synopses about the most recent Harry Potter book, and subsequent speculation about book 7. If you like to chew on theories and squeeze HP books for clues, this might be a good choice for you.
I enjoy the book. The way the author try to explain book seven might be written and also how explain what would happen to harry and ever oone elsein the book.
I was extremely disappointed in this book. Easily 80% of it is an analysis of book 6. I have book 6, I've read book 6. There are exactly 6 pages of predictions about book 7. Pales in comparison to Defogging the Future, which is nothing but predictions based on evidence from the other books. This book might be more correctly called Book 6.
I was a little turned off by the religious beliefs being front & center on this book. I wanted to get right in to the theory & speculation over what had happened & what would happen. There were some redeming tid-bits, but overall it was a struggle for a muggle like me.
As with a lot of us Harry Potter fans I tend to check out a lot of these "discussion" books rather skeptically. I'm very glad I decided to get this one. The author has done a great job of being informative, and offering many topics for discussion, even if there are a few typos. The few mistakes that got past the editors, such as "Privet Lane" instead of Drive, bothered me a little at first, but all the information and discussions he gives more than make up for the oopses. All in all, I can honestly say, it's more than worth it, especially since the author gives the option of permanent updates via e-mail for the book. Enjoy it and the discussions it will start.
I purchased this book as something to read before book 7 but found it to contain even less information than most websites let alone have anything new in it at all. The author has a small bias towards characters which may also not suit all readers. If you really must have everything HP then get it but this book will not give you anything new that you could not read at any of the four big websites.
So far, so good. The author has a very interesting style and some very interesting thoughts on the subject. I always love to read someones else's thoughts on a subject. Even if I don't always agree. I am not done w/ the book yet but I look forward to finishing it.
