I remember reading this in 2016. I was in middle school by then and it was during summer vacations, I would stay up late wanting to finish the book and soon watch the movie afterwards. To this day, I am absolutely so proud of myself for picking this book off the shelf.
Thank you to J.K Rowling for introducing me to the world of books and fiction.
Fantastic books that are so thrilling. When I was younger, I wrote this series off as a children's series, not relevant for an adult but I read them anyway and boy do I regret not having done so sooner. It really is a series relatable across all generations and demographics. Non-stop thriller through and through. Great character development for even the ancillary characters. Incredibly well done.
re divertida, algunos de los libros se te hacen re largos mal, pero eso es xq yo vi las películas antes que los libros entonces ta sabia todo y aveces era medio aburrido, pero la historia esta buena y la narración también
Growing up I loved this book. then I grew up and learned about how this book is full of every possible prejudice I can learn about. It's just not a good series and I won't encourage my future children to read it.
I remained skeptical & snobbish about this series for quite awhile, until my son wanted me to read the first book to him. It hooked me, & I am now quite sad that the series is done. But I'm glad the author went out on a high note. Highlights: The Sorcerer's Stone, The Prisoner of Azkaban, & the Deathly Hallows were the best; 5 stars for those. I probably enjoyed the Order of the Phoenix the least. All, by the way, far outstrip their respective movies, but I must admit that when I read the books I see the characters as they appear in the flicks.
Books 1-6 are a fun ride for anyone looking for a family friendly, very addictive reading adventure...
As with any larger series, some books are definitely better than others, but I do feel the whole series is fairly consistent in it's quality. This would be a great purchase for anyone looking to get into Harry Potter.
If you're looking for reviews on each book separately check out my individual reviews for each installment:)
I have read and re-read the Harry Potter series more times than I can remember. The fun increased when I listened to the Audiobook read by Stephen Fry... that was something else entirely. Just epic.
