V repetitive! A major bummer because Foucault is often an illuminating read. Oh well, "crime and discipline" is still a perfect book, and I suggest you give it a go!

Revisiting Foucault after many years, especially following the challenging works of Heidegger and Adorno, was a real pleasure. His writing is not intimidating and is welcoming to all types of readers.

Just read part 1 unless you really care about 3rd century BC.

The first volume is definitely the most difficult out of the three, this part is quite enjoyable.
