This was the third book in the prequel about Amber.

It presented an interesting conclusion that effectively contributed to fleshing out the origin story of how Amber was created.

The author did a good job of tying up loose ends and providing a more comprehensive understanding of the character and her backstory.

However, I must admit that if you haven't read the Amber Series, you might still find yourself a bit lost.

The book assumes a certain level of familiarity with the overall narrative and the world-building that has occurred in the previous installments.

Despite this, it still manages to be an engaging read on its own, with enough intrigue and character development to keep the reader interested.

Overall, I would rate this book three stars.

It is a solid addition to the series and a worthwhile read for fans of the Amber Series.
