About half-way through at this point.

Some of Conrad Black's perspectives on FDR's politics and initiatives truly astonished me. Given the slant of his general views as presented in his newspapers and other media, I had expected something different. His insights offered a new and unexpected dimension to my understanding of FDR's era.

As well, it was fascinating to compare what Black reports to the perspective of Ken Burns' documentary The US and the Holocaust . Burns' work provides a detailed and often harrowing account of a particular aspect of history. By juxtaposing Black's views with those presented in the documentary, one can gain a more comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the complex events and forces at play during that time. It is through such comparisons that we can begin to piece together a more accurate picture of the past and draw valuable lessons for the future.
