There are so many intense fights taking place, and the moment of execution is drawing closer and closer. First up is the battle between Byakya Kuchiki and Renji, who unleashes his bankai. Renji puts up a valiant effort, but ultimately he is defeated. I really appreciate how determined he is, and the way they compare him to Ichigo in the side-by-side panel is quite interesting. Then comes the fight between Kenny and Kaname Tosen, with Tosen's bankai (enmakorogi) that blinds his opponent's senses except touch. Kenny, being the bloodthirsty fiend that he is, manages to win against Tosen. However, Komamura shows up, revealing his form as an animal. Kaname also has a tragic story about why he became a soul reaper - the woman he loved was killed by her husband. This manga constantly makes you feel sympathy for the "bad guys".

Also, I'm really excited to see this soul reapers civil war unfold. I'm firmly on team Rukia.
