I'm a die-hard C. W. Anderson fan. However, I had never come across this particular book until I joined Goodreads. It was published way back in 1971. I believe this was his second to last book, with the final one being The Blind Connemera. This is a classic Anderson story. It's about an unwanted pony who finally gets his moment of glory. The pony is discovered by three kids who are riding in a car with a rumble seat. In today's world, kids riding like that would be immediately taken away from their parents. But, 1971 was a completely different era. At the end of the book, there's a note about how Anderson did the illustrations. I don't recall him doing that for any other book of his. This rare pony book is currently available on The Open Library. But, there are two tricks to finding it. Just entering the title or even entering C. W. Anderson will lead you to a dead end. * Try looking for Blaze and the Gypsies. Then, click on the link for the author's name. That will take you to a four or five page list, which includes this book. * Enter this title exactly, \\"The Rumble Seat Pony, To Melissa, Pam, Peter and there Pony, Vicky\\". Yes, you need to include the misspelling too. Good luck in your search for this wonderful book.
