This was the sportiest volume!! (Good!!) However, it was handled in a way that I didn't quite like!! (Oh no!!!!) This volume kicks off with a focus on the girl on the cover, Karen, a veteran amateur wrestler. She is insanely strong and highly skilled in what she does. Nevertheless, since it's not considered "womanly," she feels embarrassed about it, which truly makes me sad! And other characters are creeped out and scared of her because of her prowess, making both her and me feel even worse!!! God damn it, Japanese society!!!!!! Why do you have to make a girl feel bad for excelling at something like that? Tsk. This volume also teases the upcoming sports festival quite a bit, which is exciting as I'm a track athlete myself (and there are numerous track events at the said festival). As far as I know, there are zero anime/manga about sprinting. So, I'm always eager for sports festivals as that's the only place I can witness my sport in anime/manga. Although there is at least a distance running anime airing currently, Run with the Wind , which is really great and I would highly recommend. This volume also only made me giggle once or maybe twice at most. That wasn't a total deal breaker or anything, as it was still otherwise entertaining. I still really enjoy how all of the chapters and events interconnect and flow together, like a REAL story, not just a comedy manga! Please consider giving this review a "Like" if you've made it this far, it helps me out a lot! And follow me if you want more!
