This Manga series has truly taken me by surprise with its plot development. It's astonishing how much detailed information has been packed into a relatively small number of pages. The story unfolds in ways that constantly keep me on the edge of my seat, eager to discover what comes next.

Most of the characters in this series are likeable, regardless of whether I agree with their actions or not. Light, the lead character, is truly captivating. His complex personality and his actions that blur the line between right and wrong make him a fascinating character to follow. On the other hand, L serves as an excellent counterpoint to Light. Symbolizing morality and purity, L stands in stark contrast to Light's immorality and cruelty. What's more, L is the only character who seems to truly understand Light, while most of the other characters are easily influenced and manipulated by him.

One aspect of L that I particularly admire is his quirkiness. Instead of sitting normally, he prefers to squat on the chairs, and he often chews on his thumb. These little idiosyncrasies add a touch of charm and humor to his character, making him even more endearing.

I have to say that I liked this volume even more than Volume 2. It was truly engrossing from start to finish. The battle of wits between L and Light was simply immensely entertaining. I found myself on the edge of my seat, eagerly following their every move and countermove.

Surprisingly, L revealed himself to Light, which was such a cool twist. It was fascinating to see them both constantly trying to outsmart each other and stay one step ahead. Their psychological warfare added a whole new level of excitement to the story.

The twist at the end was also great. I had been wondering how Kira/Light was able to kill off people without knowing their names. And then, bam! The second Kira thing came out of nowhere, completely catching me off guard.

I'm glad that the second Kira was a girl, but I'm a bit annoyed at how dumb she seems. It's frustrating that the driving force behind her actions was just to impress Kira. It makes her seem rather one-dimensional.

Moreover, I'm not impressed with the portrayal of the female characters in general. They have either been silly and submissive or have only acted a certain way because of a male character. I think it's not too much to ask for at least one well-rounded female character whose world doesn't revolve around a guy.

Overall, despite these minor gripes, I'm really looking forward to Volume 4 and seeing how the story will unfold further.

Oh boy, this was an extremely mind-bending read. To put it briefly, the story in this volume is rather static, with not a whole lot happening. However, what we do have is an incredibly in-depth and mind-mending study of how Kira behaves. Additionally, a whole new aspect of the main plot is unlocked.

This is a transition volume that was primarily utilized to create another character who is introduced right at the very end. It's a very, very promising new appearance that will surely cause some chaos, and that's a good thing.

I'm extremely curious to see what the author still has in store for this story. We are only one-fourth of the way into it, so the journey ahead is still long and full of potential surprises.

There’s truly something remarkable about series that have the power to astonish you, and “Death Note” is indubitably one of them. After delving into volume two, I was convinced that it would be extremely arduous to surpass the intense cat-and-mouse game that Light and L were already engaged in. But oh boy, was I proven wrong! Volume 3 catapulted the story to an entirely different echelon. I have no inkling how those two characters manage to remain so composed. XD I mean, if I were in their shoes, I would surely buckle under the pressure. However, Light and L? They simply brush it off and meticulously plan their next strategic move, as if it were a game of chess. *lol*

This brings me to the brilliant mind of Tsugumi Ohba. The ability to think on such complex dimensions and to have your characters constantly one step ahead of the other is truly awe-inspiring. Wow!! It takes an extraordinary intellect to conceive and execute a story in such a masterful way. Therefore, Tsugumi Ohba has earned all of my respect for creating two such captivating characters as L and Light and for effortlessly maintaining this arc of suspense. It’s truly amazing, and I’m eagerly anticipating what else the author has in store for us.

As for the storyline, things are heating up significantly, and the tension is palpable! There were chapters where I clutched my volume tightly and read without taking a single breath. What really intrigued me is the fact that they are both playing with open cards, yet not really. If you know what I mean?! *lol* It’s mind-boggling!

I wonder what Light’s father will think once he discovers that his son is Kira. And I’m certain that in one of those 13 volumes, he will. It’s just a matter of time...

Also, the ending! It’s fascinating that there is now a copycat. And it’s a girl! I’m very curious to see how this will play out and if Light and she will hook up?! Haha! I can’t imagine it because she gives off the kind of childish vibes that Light spoke about when he drew the profile for Kira. So yeah... I guess we’ll just have to find out. ;-) And I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next! I’m sure this copycat Kira will shake things up a little... or rather, a whole lot! *lol*
