In these days when I am in a slump in reading,

reading manga is almost like a salvation. I had watched its anime, but still, it intrigued me with excitement.

Manga has a unique charm that can draw me into its world. The vivid illustrations and engaging stories capture my attention and make me forget about my reading slump.

Each panel tells a part of the story, and I find myself eagerly turning the pages to see what happens next.

Whether it's a thrilling adventure, a heartwarming romance, or a thought-provoking mystery, manga has something for everyone.

It allows me to escape from reality and immerse myself in a different universe for a while.

So, in my slump days, manga becomes my go-to source of entertainment and inspiration.

I recently came across a brief clip on YouTube of the abomination that is Netflix's Death Note. It was truly a disappointment and made me question if there were still any good stories left in the world.

This led me to pick up the original Death Note manga and give it a reread. As I delved into the pages once again, I was reminded of just how captivating and well-crafted the story is.

The complex characters, the thrilling plot twists, and the moral dilemmas presented in the original work are what make it a classic. It's a stark contrast to the abysmal adaptation by Netflix.

After finishing the reread, I felt reassured that good stories do indeed still exist. We just need to look beyond the mediocre adaptations and rediscover the gems that have stood the test of time.
