There is something that feels a bit off as I read this volume, eagerly waiting for one last glimpse of Sai.

However, in the end, this volume turns out to be very good, extremely engaging, and highly entertaining. One simply cannot ask for a better combination than Yumi Hotta, Takeshi Obata, and Yukari Umezawa.

This volume is filled with numerous great moments. For instance, the way the story unfolds keeps the reader on the edge of their seat.

Yet, at the same time, you can sense that the end of the series is drawing near. The art is一如既往地 polished, and the characters and their interactions are vividly portrayed.

The argument between Akira and Hikaru is so realistic that it actually makes me think of siblings yelling at each other.

Overall, this volume is a great addition to the series and leaves me looking forward to what comes next.

4.25 stars?

I haven't seen the Hikaru no Go movie. In fact, I've been searching everywhere but I just can't find a place to watch it. If only I could find this series on DVD, that would be amazing.

This volume is kind of a turning point as it's where the anime ends and the movie begins. So here I am, in completely unknown territory. Haha, do you get it? I'm both excited and nervous at the same time.

Excited because I'm eager to see what comes next in this story that has already captured my heart. What new adventures and challenges will Hikaru face? And nervous because I don't know if the movie will live up to my expectations. Will it continue the high quality and engaging storyline of the anime? Only time will tell, but for now, I'm on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out.

This story is like a warm bowl of comfort food for me.

I find myself constantly drawn back to reread the book and rewatch the anime, yet I can't quite pinpoint exactly what it is that holds such a strong allure for me.

Certainly, my interest in the game of Go plays a significant role. There's something fascinating about the strategies and the intellectual challenges it presents.

Moreover, I really appreciate that it's a generally positive story. It's about the journey of a person getting good at something, of persevering through difficulties and setbacks, and ultimately achieving a certain level of mastery.

It's inspiring and gives me hope that with dedication and hard work, I too can excel in the things that I'm passionate about.

Whether it's the beautiful illustrations in the anime or the detailed descriptions in the book, every aspect of this story seems to speak to me on a deep level.

I'm sure I'll continue to return to it time and time again, finding new things to love and appreciate with each viewing and reading.

I rate this 3.5 stars.

This rating indicates that the overall experience or quality of the subject in question is quite good. It has several aspects that are worthy of praise.

For example, it might have a unique feature or offer a service that meets most of the requirements. However, it also has some areas that could be improved.

Maybe the user interface could be more intuitive or there could be a bit more functionality added. Despite these minor drawbacks, the 3.5-star rating shows that it is still a worthwhile option.

It has managed to strike a balance between its strengths and weaknesses, and while it may not be perfect, it definitely has its merits.

Overall, I would recommend it to others who are looking for a similar product or service, with the caveat that they should be aware of its limitations.

Great!

Another fantastic book has emerged, this time focusing on secondary and forgotten characters.

Often in literature, the spotlight shines brightly on the main protagonists, leaving the secondary and forgotten characters in the shadows. However, this new book takes a refreshing approach by delving deep into the lives and stories of these overlooked individuals.

It offers a unique perspective, allowing readers to discover the hidden depths and complexities of these characters. Through their eyes, we gain a more comprehensive understanding of the overall narrative and the world in which the story takes place.

This book not only gives a voice to the secondary and forgotten characters but also enriches the reading experience by adding new layers of depth and emotion. It is a must-read for those who appreciate a different take on storytelling and want to explore the often-neglected aspects of a fictional world.

Currently reading:

I accidentally got the wrong book from my library. At first, I was like, "Dang, I can't read yet?" I was a bit disappointed. But then, I remembered that the 18th volume is just some short stories that don't necessarily add to the story itself. So, I thought to myself, "Well, it might still be interesting to give it a try."

Even though it's not the volume I originally intended to read, I'm going to approach it with an open mind. Maybe these short stories will offer a different perspective or some new ideas. Who knows? It could turn out to be a pleasant surprise.

So, yeah. I'm going to go ahead and start reading this volume. Ok, let's see what it has in store for me.

Hikaru plays against other Shodan, despite being far stronger than them. We are constantly reminded that everyone has to begin at this stage and progress upwards. In his spare time, Hikaru analyzes his and Akira's games with Akira. Akira is now competing against higher ranked players, and Hikaru desires to do the same.

Hikaru's first higher ranked opponent is Gokiso 7 Dan, whom he defeats. Hikaru finally discovers the Japan-China-Korea Junior Cup... and that Akira is already on the team and doesn't need to try out. The volume concludes with Hikaru having a rematch against Kadowaki while Isumi is playing against Kuwabara.

This volume seemed a bit disjointed and lacking compared to some of the previous ones. Even the short story volume was more enjoyable for me. The best moments were Hikaru purchasing a fan like Sai's (I was slightly astonished that no one made fun of him for what might have seemed to others like a sudden new quirk) and Hikaru and Akira arguing about Go. I could envision them continuing to argue in that manner after decades as friends and rivals.

This was yet another solid volume, and it was also a highly satisfying one.

Several of the plot threads that had been left dangling from past volumes were neatly tied up in this installment.

The author did an excellent job of bringing together the various storylines and resolving them in a way that felt both natural and fulfilling.

Readers who have been following the series from the beginning will no doubt appreciate the attention to detail and the careful planning that went into this volume.

It's clear that the author has a deep understanding of the characters and the world they inhabit, and this shines through in every page.

Overall, this is a great addition to the series and one that fans will surely enjoy.
