Syaoran and his companions continue their journey and arrive in a country that is filled with cute bunny-like creatures. However, these adorable beings are being terrorized by a mysterious whirlwind.

After that, they make their way to the Country of Shara. In this place, the women of an acting troupe are engaged in a battle with the men of a shrine. Each side has their own god statues, and interestingly, one of the gods bears a strange resemblance to Fai's king from his own country.

Although this doesn't provide much of a hint about Fai's past, it is clear that something is bothering him.

To make matters even more interesting, Syaoran is forced to dress up like a girl. This unexpected turn of events adds an element of humor and further complexity to their adventures.

As they continue to explore these different countries and face various challenges, the true nature of their journey and the secrets that lie within each of them begin to unfold.

Once more, the crew finds themselves in a new world.

This world is a jungle, teeming with furry creatures that live in fear of a monster demanding sacrifices.

Their task is not only to figure out how to deal with not having the feather from the previous world but also to find the one in this new and mysterious place.

This place might be even more deceiving than they initially thought.

It's a cute and fun entry, yet it has deliciously dark undertones.

I'm still very curious about where this story is headed and what the whole deal is with Fai and Syaoran's past, as well as Sakura's magic.

Kurogane seems pretty straightforward, but who knows? Maybe he's a part of some master plan too.

Well, it's time to move on to the next volume and see what adventures await!

Sakura still spends a significant amount of time in the state of being rescued. This aspect truly stands out to me for several reasons. Firstly, she is a princess, which gives her a certain status and importance. Secondly, she is the only frequently-appearing female character in the story. In this volume, at least, she gets to play a useful role with the whirlwind.

Also, I have a great fondness for the fact that Fai doesn't feel an urgent need to rush into the dangerous fighting-type missions. Given that he is a mage who has been stripped of his magic, he is already perhaps a bit more proficient in combat than one might expect. So, I'm glad that:

A. It seems (to me) to be implied that Kurogane is better at it (and rightfully so, as he should be), and

B. Fai is content to remain in places where the fighting isn't taking place.

(That was actually something I really liked a great deal about Volume 7 - Syaoran and Kurogane go off to fight monsters, while Fai stays behind to run a cafe and is completely caught off guard when the monsters unexpectedly show up there.)
