After a long time without reading manga, finally I chose Kanata Kara (From Far Away) as the opener.

In the first volume, I still thought this manga chose a cliché theme like the common action-historical romance manga. However, I was wrong.

The development of the main character and several other characters is well-structured. So is the storyline.

The thing that was initially feared because of the prophecy that there would be a powerful demon (Sky Demon) and the power that awakens it (The Awakening), actually can be interpreted with a different meaning. The rest, you can read it yourself :p

There are two main things that I grasped from this manga:

1) The path of life is a personal choice. Don't give up on things that have been predetermined.

2) Don't underestimate the power of love. Love here is not just romantic love with the opposite sex, but love in a universal sense. Love that is difficult to do because you have to forgive your enemy. And your greatest enemy may be yourself.

A young girl suddenly gets whisked away from this familiar world. She is thrust into a completely different realm, where she holds the power to be either the savior or the doom of that place. This concept is truly awesome.

The characters in this story are not only vivid but also extremely funny. They bring a lot of life and entertainment to the narrative. Despite the complexity of the plot, it doesn't get bogged down with an overwhelming amount of details. This allows the reader to easily follow along and become fully immersed in the story.

Moreover, the story has a happy ending, which is always a delight. It gives the reader a sense of satisfaction and leaves a positive impression. Overall, this is a wonderful tale that combines elements of adventure, mystery, and humor to create an engaging and enjoyable read.
