Finally!

It kind of took two decades to read this… and no, it’s actually not a hyperbole.

For all these years, I have been on this arduous journey of reading this particular piece. It has been a long and winding path, filled with countless distractions and interruptions.

But now, as I look back, I realize that it was worth every moment.

This reading experience has been like no other. It has challenged my intellect, broadened my perspective, and deepened my understanding of various concepts.

It has made me think, question, and reflect.

And although it took two decades, I am grateful for the patience and perseverance that I have shown.

Because in the end, it is not just about the time it took to read, but the knowledge and wisdom that I have gained along the way.

Finally, I can say that this reading has been a life-changing experience.

In today's times, as compared to a hundred years ago:

Since very ancient times, stories and legends related to birds have always been passed down. However, nowadays, much less is said about them. People have changed a great deal. Life has also become much more difficult. Almost all young people are going to the city to work. Families no longer sit together in front of the door in the evenings in summer or by the fireplace in winter. There is no time for anything, and today almost none of the young people even know the names of a few of the flowers that grow in the forest or a species of butterfly.

This change in our society and lifestyle has led to a significant disconnection from nature and the world of birds. We are losing touch with the rich tapestry of stories and knowledge that has been passed down through generations. It is important that we make an effort to reconnect with nature and learn about the birds and other creatures that share our planet. By doing so, we can not only gain a greater appreciation for the beauty and complexity of the natural world but also ensure that these stories and traditions are not lost forever.

Hit and miss, as is often the case with most story collections. However, the few stories that were truly outstanding had me experiencing chills down my spine.

For instance, there was this one story where I'm still not entirely sure why we were using a red bedroom slipper to beat a guy into shape. It was quite a strange and memorable scene.

On the other hand, the more dreamlike stories in the collection pulled the average quality down considerably. In this particular case, I initially thought I would rate it as a three-star collection.

But then again, there's a lot of heart put into these stories. I find that aspect more admirable than if the author had simply shown more technical skill. Maybe a novel would have been a better choice for a first reading of this author's work.

Either way, I have to say that it's good. The author shows promise and has a unique voice. I look forward to seeing what else he has in store for us in the future.

This is an outstanding compilation of short stories that deviates significantly from the traditional fairy tales.

It encompasses a wide range of themes and settings, stretching from the orient to the occident. The stories feature various characters, including poets and scientists, and span different time periods, from the ancient to the contemporary.

The diversity within this collection makes it truly captivating and engaging. Each story offers a unique perspective and takes the reader on a different journey.

I wholeheartedly recommend this collection to anyone who enjoys reading short stories that are both thought-provoking and entertaining. It is a must-read for those who are looking for something different and exciting in the world of literature.

Herman Hesse'nin ilk okuduğum kitabı - hâlâ özel, kütüphane haricinde en önemli kitaplarım arasında tutuğum - Afa Yayınları'ndan çıkan \\"Yabancı Bir Gezegenden Tuhaf Haberler\\"dir.

This book, which contains 10-12 stories that I adored, has opened doors in my heart and mind to many other places. I am talking about an unforgettable reading memory that lasts for about 25 years.

Now, the \\"Masallar\\" published by Can Yayınları and translated by İris Kantemir is a wonderful and classic work that contains the unique stories, elegance, depth, literary richness and much more in that old book. I can recommend it to everyone to read.

Years later, reading Herman Hesse again reminded me of many things and brought them back. Fortunately, it exists, and fortunately, he wrote it...

I particularly liked the story "Gorzad" from this collection. However, I also found the following stories somewhat engaging:

"The Game of Shadows", "The Dream of Nilibuk", "The Poet", "The Jungle", "Faldom" - although its ending was rather chaotic and not very satisfactory -, "The Bird" and "The Pectoral Masks".

Besides these, I found the story "The Tome of Dreams" very disturbing. It is true that the story is told in a confused mixture of dreams and madness, and one should not expect a straightforward narrative or a rational storyline. But even these excuses do not relieve me of the bad feeling towards this story.

**The Original Article**: This is a short article. It needs to be rewritten and expanded.

**The Expanded Article**:

This is a rather short article that is in need of some serious rewriting and expansion.

It seems to lack the necessary details and depth to truly engage the reader.

By rewriting it, we can enhance its clarity, coherence, and overall quality.

We can add more specific examples, facts, and figures to support the main ideas.

Additionally, we can improve the flow and structure of the article to make it more logical and easier to follow.

All the phenomena on earth are symbols,

and all the symbols are open doors through which the soul can enter if it is ready to go deep into the world, where you and I are one day and night.

Everyone encounters the open door at different opportunities in the course of life, and everyone sees, at some point or another, that everything visible is symbolic, and that the soul and eternal life live behind the symbol.

And of course, few people enter the door and desert the beautiful phenomenon of the external world for the inner reality that sanctifies them.

This concept of seeing the world as a web of symbols and having the courage to explore the deeper meanings hidden within them is truly profound.

It encourages us to look beyond the surface and discover the hidden essence that lies beneath.

By doing so, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us, and perhaps even find a connection to something greater than ourselves.

However, it is not an easy task to enter this door and embark on this journey of self-discovery.

It requires courage, determination, and a willingness to face our fears and limitations.

But for those who are willing to take the risk, the rewards can be truly life-changing.

This was an incredibly formative piece in my younger days.

Flute Dream, in particular, evoked such strong emotions in me. It was a feeling that I had never experienced from a short story or a fairy tale before.

The vivid descriptions and the enchanting plot of Flute Dream transported me to a completely different world.

It opened my eyes to a world of literature that I didn't even know existed.

I was captivated by the beauty and the magic within the pages.

It made me realize that literature had the power to touch our hearts and souls in ways we could never imagine.

Flute Dream became a source of inspiration for me, fueling my love for reading and writing.

To this day, I still remember the impact it had on me and how it shaped my perspective on literature.

It will always hold a special place in my heart as a truly remarkable and unforgettable piece of work.

The translation is not good.. I can't evaluate the book.

As for the ideas, it is clear that the events of the period in which the author lived are reflected in the characters, which raise many questions about the purpose of life, wars, and the future of Europe and humanity in general.

This reflection offers a deep exploration into the human condition and the complex issues that shape our world.

It makes the reader think about the consequences of our actions and the choices we make.

The book seems to be a thought-provoking piece that invites us to consider our place in the world and the impact we have on it.

Although the translation may be lacking, the underlying ideas still manage to shine through and engage the reader.

It would be interesting to see a more accurate translation to fully appreciate the author's intended message.

Overall, the book appears to have the potential to be a valuable contribution to the literary and philosophical discourse.

The first story, "Iris," and the last story, "Augustus," are truly worth reading.

"Iris" presents a captivating narrative that draws the reader in from the very beginning. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is filled with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat.

Similarly, "Augustus" offers a unique and engaging story. The author's writing style is vivid and descriptive, allowing you to easily imagine the scenes and characters in your mind.

However, while these two stories are excellent, you may feel free to skip the rest. Some of the other stories may not be as interesting or may not resonate with you as much.

In conclusion, if you're looking for two great stories to read, "Iris" and "Augustus" are definitely worth your time. But don't feel obligated to read the entire collection if you're not enjoying it.
