Kakyoin my beloved.

I truly had believed in you.

You were such an important part of my life.

Your presence brought a certain charm and mystery.

I remember the times we spent together, those precious moments that will always be etched in my memory.

Your unique abilities and personality made you stand out.

I thought we had a special connection, a bond that couldn't be broken.

But things didn't turn out as I expected.

There were misunderstandings and conflicts that arose.

And now, here I am, with a heavy heart, still holding onto the hope that maybe, just maybe, we can find our way back to each other.

Kakyoin, you will always be in my heart.

The story up until this point is a bit confusing and rather difficult to understand.

However, I truly have a deep love for the art. The details and the style are just remarkable.

Moreover, the characters are absolutely awesome. They have their own unique personalities and charm.

Each character seems to come to life on the page, making the whole experience even more engaging.

Despite the initial confusion in the story, the art and the great characters keep me hooked and eager to find out what will happen next.

I can't wait to see how the story unfolds and how the characters develop further.

It's like a magical world that I can't get enough of.

The level of the series remains extremely high, but I'm going to dock its score simply because the battles in this volume are not resolved with as much originality or ingenuity as some others that occurred recently.

The fight of The Lovers is very good and the idea of the characters "shrinking" their stands to enter Joseph's head is great, but once inside the old Jojo's head, it becomes a more or less standard fight, ultimately being resolved with straightforward means rather than some extra twist. Still, it is entertaining.

The fight against The Sun is also quite original and fun, but here I think the author cheats (against the reader) by resolving it in a rather unpredictable way. It is also quite ingenious, but since it made me feel like a stupid reader (again), it didn't seem so conclusive to me.

And finally, the fight against Death 13 is one of the best things in the volume, although it starts from a rather unbelievable premise like the protagonists buying a plane and agreeing to take a baby with them to cure its fever in another town. But if one accepts that, the whole sequence of the dreams in the world of death and how Kakyoin goes crazy to reveal the stand user are really great scenes. It's a pity that the fight doesn't end with this volume and that now I'm very sleepy to read another volume. Let's see if I can resume the series soon!

The fight with Lovers perhaps didn't need to be as protracted as it was. I've never had much interest in that trope where the characters have to shrink and enter someone's body. It didn't appeal to me in shows like The Magic School Bus, Rick and Morty, or the numerous other cartoons where it has appeared. It didn't do anything for me in Jojo either. Sorry, but I just didn't care about the little mini stands fighting against a fleshy backdrop. Especially since any beatings the heroes endure will be quickly brushed off. From what I've heard, this stand shrinking thing never comes up again, so there you have it, Steely Dan.

However, what I did appreciate was what was happening at normal size. Joseph being a goofy-joker is always a delight. And Jotaro coldly writing a list of things he's going to get revenge for is one of my favorite moments. And then he just laughs when he's forced to take a beating because that only means he's going to hurt Steely Dan even more.

If it had been anyone else from the crew who got infected, I'm sure he would've lost his cool and taken a few jabs at their expense. But when grandpa Joseph is involved, there's no messing around. It's only fitting that this encounter ends with a 3 and a half page Ora Ora (the longest in all of Stardust Crusaders?). You don't harm the older Joestars. You're going to get your butt kicked, and it's going to be so satisfying.

The sun was fine. I liked seeing the maps that showed how far the lads have come. And I enjoyed seeing Joseph mess around with camels. I wish there might have been a panel or two where the audience could figure out that the shadows were off before the gang does, but it's not a major issue. The whole thing is a filler between more substantial encounters. But I would argue that some downtime with the crew would have served that purpose better than the non-stop stream of stand users. Don't get me wrong, the stand battles are clever and fun. But at this point, a break would be nice. Give me some time with the crew having enjoyable banter and experiencing the local culture. This kind of thing already occurs on the sidelines of the battles. And it's clear that Araki has done his research and is excited to share what he's discovered (even if he can come uncomfortably close to caricatures). I'd love to have more time for that rather than a short stand battle that most people won't think twice about and will likely forget once something more memorable comes along.

Speaking of something coming along, death is a bit of a mixed bag for me. The stand user being a baby is pretty darn funny. But like the micro battle earlier, the dream stuff isn't my cup of tea. I just can't believe that the gang won't believe Kakyoin. After all they've been through, where nothing is as it seems, it doesn't make sense that they would think Kakyoin is losing it. Especially since, as far as I know, Stardust Crusaders never has a false alarm for a stand user. It would be a unique and humorous twist if Kakyoin were convinced that the baby was a stand user, only for something else to be happening.

At the very least, Kakyoin trying to figure things out on his own has its moments. Getting to hear his inner monologue is welcome since his character is the least developed of the team.
