This year, I have read many books about the management of horses on acreage. However, this particular book stands out as simply the best. It provides comprehensive and detailed information on every aspect of horse management, from feeding and watering to training and exercise. The author's writing style is clear and easy to understand, making it accessible to both novice and experienced horse owners.
One of the things I like most about this book is the practical advice it offers. The author has years of experience working with horses and shares many tips and tricks that I have found to be extremely useful. For example, the book includes a section on how to create a safe and comfortable living environment for horses, which is essential for their health and well-being.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in managing horses on acreage. It is a valuable resource that I will continue to refer back to for years to come.
I have just adopted my very first horse, which is a senior companion only gelding. I was in desperate need of a book that could assist me in understanding my horse's body language and the best ways to work with him. Thankfully, this book does manage to fulfill some of those requirements, and that particular aspect of the book is truly GREAT. However, unfortunately, I had the feeling that there was an abundance of information that I simply didn't need, especially when it came to training and riding.
It is indeed a really informative book, but I just wish it had stayed truer to its title. Despite the fact that I felt it went off topic at times, it is CLEARLY evident that Cherry Hill knows horses extremely well. Her writing style is concise and easy to understand, which makes this a really good book for a beginner like me. I will definitely be checking out her other titles in the future.
