Textbooks — bleh!

The transmission electron microscope (TEM) is similar in principle to a light microscope, but it uses a beam of electrons instead of a beam of light and magnetic coils to focus the beam instead of glass lenses. The TEM has a useful magnification of up to a million-fold and can resolve details as small as about 2 nm in biological specimens.


Organisms whose cells have a nucleus are called eukaryotes, while those whose cells do not have a nucleus are called prokaryotes. Prokaryotic cells can duplicate themselves very quickly, sometimes in as little as 20 minutes. I just finished reading the fire textbook, and I have to say it was an amazing experience.
