Simply put, this book goes against all of my tastes. There are continuous descriptions of objects, mixed with sententious impressions on the "little pleasures" of life, an ultra-quotidian and detailed vocabulary, a completely ephemeral content, and minute and prolonged analyses of banal situations.

It is the apotheosis of uselessness. And since almost the entire work gets away with absolutes that give me a real headache, the whole thing gives birth to the most atrocious book that I have read in recent years.

Definitely not a "p'tit plaisir" to read at all.
