For a children's book, it is a rather difficult read.

The premise of the book is something that I can understand, but unfortunately, I am not a fan of it.

Perhaps it is because the language used is a bit too complex for young readers. Or maybe the story doesn't engage me in the way that a good children's book should.

I understand that some children's books are designed to challenge and educate, but this one just doesn't seem to hit the mark for me.

It may be that others will have a different opinion and find this book to be a great addition to their child's library. However, for me, it falls short of what I expect from a children's book.

Overall, while I appreciate the effort that went into creating this book, it is not one that I would recommend to others.

This is an outstanding picture book about prepositions. Published in 1995, although it's not recent, the concept of prepositions has remained unchanged since then. The rhyming text is truly remarkable as it manages to convey a wealth of information. Both the meter and the rhymes flow very naturally, making it a pleasure to read aloud. All the prepositions in the book are presented in blue and in a larger font size, which effectively makes them stand out from the rest of the text. This helps children easily identify and focus on the prepositions.

The illustrations in this book are simply stunning. They bring the text to life and add an extra layer of visual interest. The page layouts are also superb, carefully designed to enhance the reading experience. The mazes included in the book are a great addition, providing an interactive and engaging element for children. The "Which one is different?" game is not only fun but also helps children develop their observational skills. The blackboard full of prepositions is a very helpful resource, allowing children to review and reinforce their learning.

Overall, this is an excellent resource for children to learn grammar in a fun and non-threatening way. It is part of Ruth Heller's World of Language nonfiction picture book series, which focuses on the various parts of speech. I highly recommend this book to parents, teachers, and anyone interested in helping children learn about prepositions in an enjoyable and effective manner.

Bring your imagination, your sense of wonder and love of words to this magnificent book by Ruth Heller.

The illustrations in this book are incredibly enticing. They draw you in and make you want to explore every page. The cleverness and plays on words are also a delight. It's amazing how the author can use words in such creative ways to make you think and smile. And the rhyming! It adds a musical quality to the text that makes it a joy to read aloud.

Here's to the author's contagious invitation to think, to explore, to learn, and to reinvent our incredibly inventive English language! Heller has a way with words that is truly remarkable. She can take the simplest of ideas and turn them into something magical. \\"To say that Heller has a way with words is to understate a multifaceted talent,\\" as Publishers Weekly so aptly put it.

FIVE STARS, of course. This book is a must-read for anyone who loves words, language, and creativity.

I was truly impressed with this book.

From the moment I picked it up, I was drawn into its charming world.

The story was filled with cute and endearing characters that made me smile throughout.

The illustrations were also beautifully done, adding to the overall appeal of the book.

However, my friend Libby was not as impressed as I was.

She thought the story was a bit too simple and lacked depth.

While I could understand her point of view, I still couldn't help but love the book for its cuteness and charm.

In the end, I guess it just goes to show that everyone has different tastes when it comes to books.

But for me, this book will always hold a special place in my heart.
