While this book was truly a delight to listen to, I firmly believe that I wouldn't have derived the same level of enjoyment from it had I not already witnessed the movies. The movies had already painted a vivid picture in my mind, and listening to the book was like filling in the gaps and getting a more in-depth understanding of the original story.

It was a fascinating experience to finally get a sense of the story as it was originally written. The details that were perhaps overlooked or not fully explored in the movies came to life through the narrator's voice.

I'm glad that I took the time to listen to this audiobook and was able to appreciate the original work. It made me realize the importance of going back to the source material and experiencing a story in its purest form.

Overall, it was a worthwhile endeavor that added a new dimension to my understanding and enjoyment of this particular story.

This book is bound to be divisive.

On one hand, it's a bit too wacky for me. The storylines and characters seem to be from another world, and I struggle to connect with them on a personal level.

However, on the other hand, I can definitely understand why people enjoy it. The author's creativity is truly remarkable, and the book is filled with unique and unexpected twists and turns.

Perhaps those who are more open-minded and adventurous when it comes to reading will find this book to be a real gem. It offers a break from the ordinary and allows readers to explore a world that is full of imagination and wonder.

In conclusion, while this book may not be for everyone, it's important to recognize that different people have different tastes and preferences when it comes to literature. What one person may find wacky and unappealing, another person may find to be a thrilling and enjoyable read.

Lewis Carroll is a renowned author with a collection of fascinating works.

One of his most famous is "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," which takes readers on a whimsical journey with Alice as she tumbles down a rabbit hole into a strange and magical world.

"Through the Looking Glass" is another enchanting tale that continues Alice's adventures on the other side of the looking glass.

"Sylvie and Bruno" and its conclusion, "Sylvie and Bruno Concluded," offer a unique blend of fantasy and social commentary.

"A Tangled Tale" presents a series of mathematical puzzles and stories.

"The Hunting of the Snark" is a humorous and nonsensical poem.

"Phantasmagoria and Other Poems" showcases Carroll's poetic talent, while "Three Sunsets and Other Poems" adds to his body of work with more beautiful verses.

Together, these works make up a rich and diverse literary legacy that has captivated readers for generations.

Rereading Alice`s adventures as an adult challenges your mind in a very specific way.

It was a rather painful experience that made me realize how corrupted by the modern world my inner child was. As I went through the book, I was constantly bombarded with a whole lot of questions regarding Lewis Carroll`s queer relationships with children. This disturbing thought lingered in my mind to the extent that I just couldn`t truly enjoy the tale. And isn`t it ridiculous?

The wonderland really is a wonderful place to find oneself in. No matter how old one is, the key is to simply listen, as if your grandma is telling you her invented stories before bedtime. Because, in my humble opinion, you can only "get it" if you allow yourself to be lost among all these miraculous creatures, just as Alice did.

Perhaps we should all take a step back and try to recapture that sense of childlike wonder and imagination that we may have lost along the way. After all, sometimes the simplest and most fantastical stories can have the greatest impact on our lives.

So, the next time you pick up a copy of Alice`s adventures, try to approach it with an open mind and a willingness to be transported to a world of magic and mystery. You might just be surprised at what you discover.

This is the very first Barnes & Noble Leatherbound Classic book that I have delved into. Just by looking at the cover, it is truly astonishing.

It is cute and pink, adorned with wonderful artwork. The pages are dipped in gold, which gives them that charming ''old'' vintage feeling.

The first two parts of the book, of course, are the Alice books. I devoured them in a day each. It was an absolute delight to relive my childhood and also gain a deeper understanding of the books, as the Disney and Tim Burton movies are just mere interpretations. I ended up loving the books even more.

The next two parts are the Sylvie and Bruno books, which are equally wonderful and cute. However, they are a bit heavier to read as they are longer and lack pictures. So, I wouldn't really recommend them to a younger child.

But the fun doesn't stop there! There are LOTS of other goodies to discover. There are verses, puzzles, poems, stories, and a substantial ''miscellany'' section filled with all sorts of fun stuff. There are even mathematical problems and equations for those who are smart enough. Riddles and guides are also included.

If you're a fan of Mr. Lewis Carroll and Victorian literature, you should get this book without hesitation! At only $18, it's a steal, even if you just buy it to read the Alice stories. Here in Norway, they sell some books from the Leatherbound Classic series for a whopping $41.50 each! I bought this and another book from the series, and with shipping, the total was only $54.50! So, I will definitely continue ordering from Barnes & Noble in the future. I hope to collect all the books one day. What are you waiting for? Click Add to Bag now!! 4.5 stars only because it’s a classic.

However, I truly do not understand why this book is so highly hyped up. Alice is extremely annoying! I am well aware that this is a children’s book and that children can be annoying at times, but this girl takes the cake! The adventurous element present in this book is truly amazing. The way Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole and enters a world full of strange and wonderful creatures is captivating.

Yet, I have to admit that I do not like Alice at all! She is任性 (willful) and doesn’t seem to learn from her mistakes. I tried my best to read this book without thinking of the terrible adaptation that stars Johnny Depp. I want to form my own opinion of the story before watching any movie versions. So, if I do decide to watch the movie, it will be the original version.

Again, did I mention how much I’m not a fan of Alice?! She really does grate on my nerves!

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a truly remarkable book. It is a superb, timeless, funny, and brilliant piece of literature that has the power to engage and delight both children and adults alike.

The book is filled with rich and vivid descriptions that transport the reader into a fantastical world of wonder and imagination. It mocks many Victorian notions, such as child rearing and education, in a humorous and satirical way.

There are several concepts in the book that have stayed with me over the years. One of these is Alice's game on a chessboard with pink flamingos, where she discovers that no matter how hard she tries, she can never seem to reach her goal. Another is the idea of the Unbirthday Present, which is a delightful and whimsical concept.

The characters in the book are also some of the most memorable and beloved in all of literature. The angry duchess, the Mock Turtle, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, and the Cheshire Cat are all superbly drawn and add to the charm and magic of the story.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good adventure, a bit of humor, and a touch of the fantastical. It is a book that can be read and enjoyed again and again, and it will always leave you with a sense of wonder and delight.

I firmly believe that my childhood would have been incomplete without the remarkable works of Lowis Carroll. His literary contributions have left an indelible mark on my life. Among all his masterpieces, "Alice in Wonderland" holds a special place in my heart and will always remain my favorite. It is truly a literary gem, a treasure trove of imagination and creativity.

The art on the cover of this book is simply captivating. It immediately draws the reader in and sets the tone for the奇幻 journey that lies within. The silver lined pages add an extra touch of elegance and charm, making it a pleasure to hold and flip through.

The Barns and Noble leather bound edition of "Alice in Wonderland" is not only a great read but also a beautiful collector's item. The quality of the binding and the overall presentation are top-notch. It is a book that looks as good as it reads, and I am proud to have it on my bookshelf. Truly, this is a great book inside and out, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good story.

Incredibly beautiful!

It is truly a sight to behold. Loved every tiny detail!

The attention to detail is simply remarkable. Alice and Through the looking glass are both amazingly well written!

The authors have done a superb job in creating these wonderful stories. All the nonsense making tons of sense.

It's as if the chaos and absurdity of the stories actually hold a deeper meaning. All Alice’s curiosity and dreamy thoughts and ideas...

They are so vividly portrayed that it's easy to get lost in her world. They all works perfectly well.

The combination of Alice's character, the strange and wonderful settings, and the unique plotlines make these books a must-read for anyone who loves a good adventure.

Whether you're a child or an adult, you're sure to be charmed by the magic of Alice and Through the looking glass.

Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a wonderfully whimsical classic that is full of conundrums and curiosities. There is just something about Alice and the world of Wonderland that captures my heart. The Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat are especially endearing characters. They are eccentric and odd, yet they are juxtaposed with 'nonsensical' wisdom that makes them so lovable and creative.

When I read this book as a child, it was pure bliss, full of adventure and colour. As a teenager, it was an escape from reality to another world where old friends awaited. Now, as an adult, re-reading it reveals so many themes that resonate with today's world and the'madness' that we all experience. Alice can serve as an inspiration for us as we try to deal with the challenges of the world and society.

My Barnes & Noble edition of this classic is a thing of beauty. It has a bright blue leather cover and gilded pages, which add to the charm. In addition, it features added extras such as notations and poems, which are a wonderful bonus.

Overall, this is a pure, delightful read that takes you on a mad romp down a rabbit hole. It is a book that I will continue to re-read and cherish for years to come.

It's truly a challenging task to know precisely where to commence when reviewing this book. There is a significant divide between the earlier stories and the later prose and riddles within it. For me, "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," the very first and most renowned story, was by far the most delightful. It was penned in an extremely humorous manner, and Alice comes across as a genuine person with real, albeit somewhat illogical and nonsensical, thoughts and reactions to the events transpiring around her. Many of the other stories and texts in the book prove to be quite arduous to get through, as the writing is rather convoluted. Nevertheless, there are still several enjoyable segments scattered throughout the entire book. However, there are also moments of incest that are glossed over and period-typical sexism present throughout the book. Overall, reading this book is a highly interesting experience. Although it requires a bit of time and effort, I am indeed glad to have undertaken it.
