Atalanta was a remarkable figure in Greek mythology.

She was a huntress known for her extraordinary speed and skills.

Atalanta's story begins with her birth. Her father, disappointed that she was not a son, abandoned her in the forest.

However, she was raised by a bear and grew up to be a strong and independent woman.

When she reached adulthood, Atalanta participated in many adventures and proved herself to be a fierce warrior.

One of the most famous events in her life was the boar hunt.

She joined a group of heroes to hunt down a wild boar that was terrorizing the countryside.

Atalanta was the first to wound the boar, and her contribution was crucial in the successful hunt.

Despite her many achievements, Atalanta had one weakness - her beauty.

Many suitors desired her hand in marriage, but she was reluctant to marry.

To deter her suitors, she challenged them to a footrace.

Those who lost the race would be put to death.

Many suitors accepted the challenge but were defeated by Atalanta's speed.

However, one suitor, Hippomenes, was able to outwit her.

He used three golden apples given to him by Aphrodite to distract Atalanta during the race and was able to win.

In the end, Atalanta and Hippomenes were married and lived happily ever after.

The story of Atalanta is a tale of strength, independence, and the power of love.

A story considered real (from the second millennium BC in Greece), but embellished in the epic creativity of Greek mythology.

It has a good ending, and the interventions of the gods throughout the work are very funny and bold, as they felt very believable.

This combination of reality and mythology makes the story truly captivating. The gods, with their supernatural powers and complex personalities, add an element of excitement and unpredictability.

As the story unfolds, we are drawn into a world where the boundaries between the human and the divine are blurred.

We witness the gods meddling in the affairs of mortals, sometimes for good and sometimes for mischief.

The result is a rich and engaging narrative that has endured through the ages.

I truly wish that I could have liked this more.

At the beginning, I had high hopes and was filled with anticipation. However, as I delved deeper into it, I found myself a little disappointed in the end.

But then again, what can one really expect from Greek mythology? It is known for its complex and often tragic stories, with characters that are flawed and human-like.

Perhaps my initial expectations were too high, or maybe I was looking for something different. Nevertheless, I still appreciate the beauty and significance of Greek mythology.

It has influenced art, literature, and culture for thousands of years, and continues to do so today.

Although this particular experience didn't meet my expectations, I will not give up on exploring the rich world of Greek mythology.

There is still so much to discover and learn, and I look forward to future encounters with these ancient tales.

I think it would have been better without the dialogue between the gods.

The story could have focused more on the actions and events that were taking place.

The dialogue between the gods sometimes felt forced and detracted from the overall flow of the narrative.

It would have been more engaging to see how the characters interacted with each other and how they dealt with the challenges they faced.

Without the gods' dialogue, the story could have had a more human touch and made the readers更容易 relate to the characters.

Additionally, the absence of the gods' dialogue would have given the author more room to develop the plot and create a more immersive world for the readers.

Overall, I believe that the story would have been stronger and more impactful without the dialogue between the gods.

This was truly great up until the very end.

The ending was literally like "And then we turned into lions"??????? It's just so absurd.

SMH (shaking my head). I really need to stop having such high expectations for the books that I place on my Trashy Greek Myths shelf.

I always seem to hope that they will be as good as Goddess of Yesterday, but it rarely turns out that way.

It's a bit disappointing, really. Maybe I should just lower my standards or stop looking for that same level of quality in this particular genre.

Oh well, live and learn, I guess.

But still, it's a shame when a book starts off so well and then has such a strange and unexpected ending.

It really makes you wonder what the author was thinking.

Maybe they were trying to be creative or come up with something unique, but in this case, it just didn't work for me.

Oh well, on to the next book.
