Review

This is a very interesting book that truly intrigued me. It focuses on the theme of revenge, which is always a captivating subject. What makes this book even more engaging is the little bit of history that is incorporated into the story. It adds depth and authenticity to the narrative. The author does a great job of building suspense throughout the book, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. I found myself constantly turning the pages, eager to find out what would happen next. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good mystery or thriller with a touch of history.

This has to be the worst Patterson book I've ever read.

Whenever I pick up one of his books, I anticipate a quick, mindless, and entertaining read. However, I can't say that he accomplished any of that in this particular book.

The characters were extremely dull and flat. They lacked depth and personality, making it difficult for me to engage with them on any level. Each page seemed as boring as the one before, with no real excitement or tension to keep me hooked.

Moreover, the plot was never really developed. It had a promising concept that was bone-chilling and had the potential to be truly scary. But in my opinion, Patterson failed to deliver on that potential. He didn't explore the concept fully or build up the necessary suspense and atmosphere.

Overall, this book was a major disappointment for me. I expected more from Patterson, especially considering his reputation as a bestselling author. I would not recommend this book to anyone looking for a thrilling and engaging read.

This book had a rather sluggish beginning. It seemed to take its time getting going, and one might even have felt a bit impatient during the initial stages.

However, as the story progressed, it suddenly took a turn and became extremely intense in the last one-third. The plot thickened, and the events that unfolded were both fascinating and deeply upsetting.

It presented numerous moral dilemmas and ethical questions that really made the reader stop and think. It was not an easy read by any means, as it delved into some pretty awful and heavy topics.

Thankfully, it was not overly graphic, which might have made it even more difficult to stomach. Overall, it was a book that had its flaws in the beginning but redeemed itself with its powerful and thought-provoking conclusion.

The nice thing about every Patterson book I’ve read so far is that they are quick reads thanks to the short chapters.

In See How They Run, I was particularly grateful that the chapters were short, and I was able to get through it fast because it just wasn’t very good.

There were some decent characters that I found myself interested in. However, the story itself just felt like a complete mess.

It’s one of Patterson’s very early books though. So, I’m not going to judge his talents based on this dud.

I understand that every author has their learning curve and early works may not be as polished as their later ones.

Despite the flaws in this particular book, I still have hope that Patterson has more great stories to offer.

I’ll continue to explore his other works,期待ing to discover the gems that he is capable of writing.

Maybe See How They Run was just a misstep in his otherwise successful career.

Only time will tell if Patterson can truly live up to the expectations that his fans have for him.

A far-fetched plot unfolds, revolving around neo Nazis and Jewish revenge. The question lingers as to why Moscow is chosen as the center of action instead of Germany. Patterson masterfully keeps the reader in suspense, blurring the lines between the good and bad guys.

Despite the somewhat convoluted nature of the story, it remains a fun and fast read. The twists and turns keep the pages turning, and the reader is constantly engaged in trying to figure out who is who and what will happen next.

While the plot may stretch the boundaries of believability at times, Patterson's writing style and ability to create tension make up for it. It's a thrilling ride that will leave readers entertained and satisfied.

I was truly disappointed in this novel.

"See How They Run (1997, previously published in 1977 as The Jericho Commandment)" annoyed me mainly because I struggled to care about the characters.

The novel is set in the 1980 Olympics Village in Moscow and was originally written to take place three years into the future. However, Patterson didn't anticipate that the USA would boycott the Olympics in that year. Since the book was republished with a different name in 1997, I had great difficulty believing that the actions described could occur. It would have been easier to suspend my disbelief if I didn't already know what actually happened.

Unlike my favorite Patterson books, such as the Alex Cross series which involve mystery and detectives, this novel focused on terrorism and Nazis.

It seems that Patterson's attempt to create a thrilling and engaging story in this particular novel fell short for me. The lack of relatable characters and the historical inaccuracies made it a less enjoyable read compared to his other works.

Perhaps if the book had been rewritten to account for the real events or if the characters had been more developed and interesting, I might have had a different opinion. But as it stands, I was left feeling disappointed and unfulfilled by this novel.

I don't know why this book received so many negative reviews.

To me, it was truly fascinating. This was the second time I had delved into its pages, and I found myself liking it just as much as the first encounter.

True, it may not be a book that immediately bowls you over with its initial impact.

However, it most definitely showcases the potential that Patterson has most assuredly fulfilled.

The story is filled with suspense, twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. There's also a touch of romance added to the mix, all qualities that he enhanced with each subsequent book.

Now, the one thing that did baffle me, and probably always will, was the reasoning behind the terrorist's actions.

One might be inclined to say, "Oh PLEASE! Too far-fetched!"

But when we stop and think about it, is the reasoning behind any of the real terrorist actions any less far-fetched? Any less baffling?

This is a quick and entertaining story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I would highly recommend it to others who are looking for a good read that offers a bit of everything.

So, give it a chance and see for yourself if it doesn't capture your imagination.
