This book has been a journey of discovery. I have enjoyed reading a short passage everyday and making notes next to it. This has helped me to recognise who we all really are, it opens my heart so that good catches up in my life. During my journey through this book I found myself reflecting on my life, and the large spaces for writing were a great help. It helped to strengthen my sprite in faith, as other times it my wavers.
This book also helped me come to a point in my journey where I can reflect on my joyful moments and my friendship in faith and the community around me. It is for this reason and at this stage of my journey that I would like to recommend this book as a daily spiritual journey guide.

By committing to 40 days of diligence in reading this book and applying the lessons to my heart I felt the discipline of diligence spill over into every facet of my life.

I didn't keep up with the writing like I should have...

This is not a normal book that one sets down to read. It is not meant to be read at all in fact, rather, to be reflected upon. Extracts from the Bible point one into the direction of living life purposely. So, there, boom, from the word start, that is the raison d'etre of this book: That life has a purpose. The book then leads you to how you can do this, why it is worth doing this according to the Word of God. If you are a nihilistic atheist, this is not for you. If you are an open minded atheist not completely or overwhelmingly convinced that life has no meaning then this might just save you. If on the other hand you are in God and a chIld of God then there is such a wealth of material, you would need to pray very seriously to the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus to reveal to you as much as you can possibly handle. The approach is very refreshing and to those who think that God and religion are synonymous, they should think again.

Good 40 day religious journal. Recommend incorporating this into your celebration of lent.

I found my purpose of Life

The actual book is even better and I recommend it to those that have a hard time understanding the bible. It's a great start in your walk with God.

Wonderful

I thoroughly enjoyed meandering my way through this book. It invites contemplation, meditation, introspection and finally action. 40 days is nowhere near long enough and I know I will revisit this devotional many, many times.

This book has changed me! I am a better person for reading this. I've grown within my faith, and there are so many things that have been put into perspective for me.
