Politics. It is a realm filled with power struggles and the pursuit of ambition. Backstabbing, both figuratively and literally, often takes place. Shakespeare, the great playwright, had an in-depth understanding of human behavior.

I had the pleasure of attending a production of one of his plays on Sunday, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So many of the lines from this play are still relevant and used in our daily lives today. For example, “The fault … is not in our stars, but in ourselves.” This line reminds us that we are responsible for our own actions and decisions. Another memorable line is “Cowards die many times before their deaths.” It emphasizes the importance of courage and facing challenges head-on.

And of course, when thinking of this play, I cannot forget the Canadian comedy team, Wayne & Shuster, and their hilarious sketch, Rinse the Blood Off My Toga. Their comical take on the play adds a new dimension of entertainment. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rR_5h....

Now, let's join together for a martini (or perhaps more than one) and remember to “Beware the Ides of March.” This famous phrase serves as a warning and a reminder of the uncertainties and potential dangers that lie ahead.
