I have listened to a vast number of audiobooks. Among them, although most were superior to Tempest, none had performances that were as captivating and entertaining.

Interestingly, I didn't select this book for myself. I was in search of something to listen to while I was working. My son happened to notice it at the library. Since he would overhear whatever I chose, I decided to indulge him. As it turned out, it was an extremely enjoyable experience. Not only does the narrator do an outstanding job of portraying Han Solo, but the tracks are also filled with a great deal of atmosphere, such as Star Wars music and sound effects.

What about the story? Well, it's actually quite good. Troy Denning remains faithful to the characters that we are already familiar with. He also creates interesting new characters and makes it effortless to immerse oneself in the galaxy with a vocabulary that only a nerd could truly appreciate. This would make for an easy yet highly entertaining read.

Overall, this audiobook has left a lasting impression on me with its engaging performance and enjoyable story. It's definitely worth a listen for any Star Wars fan or audiobook enthusiast.

This is truly an outstanding book.

As an extremely passionate fan of the Star Wars Franchise, I find myself thoroughly enjoying the captivating story of the Solo Children and the Skywalker Child.

The characters in this book are remarkable. They are well-developed and bring the story to life in a most engaging way.

The story itself is not only fun but also highly addicting. Once you start reading, it's difficult to put the book down.

Overall, this is a very good book that I would highly recommend to any Star Wars enthusiast or anyone who enjoys a well-written and engaging story.

That was a truly mean cliffhanger.

It left me on the edge of my seat, eagerly waiting for what comes next.

The story has taken an unexpected turn, and I find myself in a state of mixed emotions.

On one hand, I'm frustrated with the cliffhanger, as it seems to be a cruel tease.

On the other hand, it has piqued my curiosity and made me even more invested in the story.

At this point, I'm more sad about Ben's naivete than Jacen's fall.

Ben's innocence and trust in the wrong people have led him astray, and it's heartbreaking to see.

Jacen's descent into darkness is also concerning, but I can't help but feel that there may still be hope for his redemption.

As I wait for the next installment, I can only hope that the author will resolve these plotlines in a satisfying way.

I have just completed reading "Tempest" by Troy Denning. This book is the third installment out of a total of nine books in this series.

To be honest, I have to say that it is my least favorite one up until now. I firmly believe that Allston and Traviss are far superior when it comes to writing within the context of the Star Wars Expanded Universe (SW EU). Their works seem to have a certain charm and depth that "Tempest" lacks.

However, despite my disappointment with this particular book, I will still continue to read the rest of the series. The reason for this is that they are relatively quick reads, which makes it easy for me to breeze through them.

Overall, I would only recommend this series to those who are already deeply interested in this kind of subject matter. If you are not a die-hard fan of the SW EU, you might want to think twice before picking up this series.

Alema Rar is still alive and has a vendetta against Jacen, wanting him dead to cause pain to Leia.

I wholeheartedly support that.

However, what I don't appreciate is that Aurra Sing is also alive. It's absurd. First, Kad Skirata was claiming to be a clone in the previous book, and now Aurra Sing is still around. This alone makes me rate the novel 4 stars.

Han and Leia are dispatched by Gejjen to negotiate with Tenel Ka regarding Hapes' assistance to Corellia. But, as expected, everything is a setup. It's nerve-wracking to witness Jacen believing his parents are criminals and intending to oppose them. Fortunately, he comes to his senses.

I'm also glad that Jacen can assist Tenel Ka and Allana.

It's annoying that Allana says "Yedi Jacen." If she can pronounce the 'J' sound, why can't she say Jedi?

We observe how effortlessly a government can formulate and implement laws covertly, all under the guise of "the Galactic Loyalty Act."

I find it highly realistic that Mara transitions from trusting Jacen with Ben to being extremely apprehensive. It's not rushed, although it's frustrating for the reader who knows what Jacen is up to.

What's equally frustrating for the reader is that Mara and Luke perceive Jacen's downfall as a result of selflessness, while we know it's because he is actually selfish, driven by his love for his daughter and the woman he loves. It's similar to Anakin's selflessness, yet the latter was also quite selfish in other aspects.

I'm very pleased that Zekk is no longer obsessed with Jaina. Having experienced that near-instantaneous change of heart, I find it believable.

Zekk being her friend holds more significance and has a more positive impact on Jaina than his previous courtship attempts.

I love that Jag is alive and informs the Solos about Alema Rar. Han's description of her as a trollop is spot-on.

But they tell Luke and Mara to be on the lookout for Alema, and then the latter couple is surprised to see her. That doesn't make any sense.

I detest Jacen's actions in the end.

I want to be angry with Ben, though I'm irritated with him and consider him as much of a brat as Han does. But it's his upbringing and the way Jacen has treated him, along with seeing dead heroes like Anakin Solo being almost worshipped, that has him confused and behaving far older than his 13 years. Given his future, I'm glad the rest of the Skywalker/Solo clan removes him from that negative influence.

I have just completed reading the third book in the Legacy of the Force series.

Overall, it was a rather good addition to the Star Wars universe. There were several moments that truly elicited excitement within me. However, it wasn't without its flaws. The characterization, particularly in the early stages, was quite poor, and the dialogue left much to be desired.

Despite these shortcomings, I chose to overlook all the unbelievable plot coincidences. After all, this is Star Wars, and such elements are almost expected.

I must say that Jacen's descent into the Dark Side was written much better than Anakin Skywalker's. The author managed to create a more complex and believable character arc for Jacen.

In conclusion, this series is a fairly decent piece of escapist science fiction. I initially picked it up because of Karen Traviss, and while it wasn't perfect, it still provided an enjoyable reading experience.

I would recommend it to fans of the Star Wars franchise who are looking for a new story to explore.

I read the German edition of this book, and to my disappointment, it was filled with quite a lot of spelling and punctuation mistakes.

These errors really detracted from my overall enjoyment of the reading experience. However, even if I overlook those mistakes, I still don't think this book is anything more than average.

Jacen Solo continues to come across as an idiot, and I just can't seem to get into the rhythm of liking Ben.

The political complications in the story seemed way over the top when compared to what it ultimately boiled down to.

I must admit that I have a preference for action and character development over a highly involved plot.

Sometimes, complex plots just go over my head, and I struggle to keep too many plot lines straight in my mind.

Sadly, this was the case here.

On the plus side, it does work a little in favor of the book because none of the characters had a clear idea of what was actually happening either.

But in the end, I still found it a tiny bit too confusing.

Also, the descriptions in the book were quite unsubtle, and I had to roll my eyes when Jacen Solo, in a manner similar to Darth Vader, demonstrated his power by Force-choking one of his adjutants.

Anyway, it was a quick and otherwise easy read.

I always enjoy meeting my favorite characters again and again.

I did like some of the plot lines, and I'm sure they will lead to more interesting developments in the future.

We'll just have to wait and see where the story goes, won't we?
