The schedules were hilarious.

They were filled with such absurd and comical entries that it was impossible not to burst into laughter. One schedule had a task labeled "feed the invisible unicorn" at 3 pm, followed by "have a tea party with the flying pigs" an hour later. Another had a note to "learn to levitate" during the lunch break. It was as if someone had decided to create a schedule that was completely脱离现实 and full of whimsical and humorous ideas. Each entry seemed to outdo the previous one in terms of its hilarity. It was a refreshing and entertaining sight to see such a lighthearted and comical approach to scheduling. It definitely brought a smile to everyone's face and added a touch of fun to the otherwise mundane day.

Anastasia, I truly wish you would learn to appreciate Bach. In my opinion, Rachmaninoff is just too schmaltzy.

It was absolutely worth the entire book just to come across this one single line. In fact, I have always had a great appreciation for Anastasia's adventures, and this particular one is really a doozy.

When her mom is called out of town for a week and Anastasia is left to her own devices, well, it turns into a roller-coaster ride of epic proportions!

You can just imagine the chaos and excitement that unfolds as Anastasia navigates through this week on her own.

There are bound to be unexpected twists and turns, and I can't wait to see how she manages to handle it all.

Anastasia's adventures always keep me on the edge of my seat, and this one is no exception.

I'm sure it will be a wild and unforgettable ride!

I truly have a deep affection for all of the Anastasia books.

They are not only hilarious but also highly relatable, presenting a sense of authenticity that is truly remarkable.

This particular one stands out as one of my absolute favourites.

The entire storyline revolving around the nonsexist housekeeping list is both engaging and thought-provoking.

Moreover, her unique perspective on what constitutes a romantic date adds an extra layer of charm and entertainment.

In my opinion, this installment is probably the funniest within the series, constantly making me laugh out loud and keeping me thoroughly entertained from start to finish.

It's a book that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lighthearted and enjoyable read.

Read for childhood nostalgia.

It is quite evident that the aspects of feminism concerning body positivity had not yet reached the author when this was penned. One of Anastasia's friends embarks on a diet, which essentially appears to be just avoiding eating and then succumbing to a candy bar when she is extremely hungry. She requests Anastasia to remind her not to eat, all in the hope of becoming thin to attract a boy. The fact that she is only 13 years old makes this situation even more concerning.

This portrayal highlights the harmful influence that society's beauty standards can have on young girls at a tender age. It is disheartening to see that even at 13, this girl feels the need to conform to a certain body image in order to be desirable.

It serves as a reminder of how important it is to educate children about the significance of self-acceptance and body positivity from an early age. By doing so, we can help them develop a healthy self-esteem and avoid falling prey to the pressures of an unrealistic and often harmful beauty ideal.

In this Anastasia book, the mom has to go on a work trip. As a result, all of the housework and childcare are left to Anastasia, who is only 13 years old. This seems like a rather strange situation to occur in a children's book. After all, it's not about one of your parents dying in your rural mountain home.

I do like this book well enough. However, I can't help but think that the author is stretching a bit to come up with interesting plot lines. It makes me wonder if there are other more engaging and relatable story ideas that could have been explored.

Perhaps the author could have focused on Anastasia's experiences at school or her relationships with friends. Or maybe there could have been a more unique and exciting adventure for Anastasia to embark on.

Overall, while the book has its charm, I think there is room for improvement in the plot department.

The Anastasia books have truly demonstrated to me that a rather unusual, book-loving, suburban girl and her equally quirky, academically inclined, artistic family can possess two very important qualities. Firstly, they can be extremely interesting. Their unique personalities and the various adventures they embark on make for a captivating read. Secondly, they are also quite comprehensible to a general audience. Despite their quirkiness, the characters and their experiences are relatable in many ways.

Recently, I revisited these books with E., who has also read them before. It has been an absolute delight to share these books with her at bedtime. We often find ourselves unable to finish a sentence because we are laughing so hard. The humor and charm of the Anastasia books never fail to bring us joy and create wonderful memories. It is truly a pleasure to have such great books to read and share with a friend.

The story is really interesting.

It all starts when her mom decides to go to LA. Meanwhile, Annie comes back. And then, to everyone's surprise, everyone gets chicken pox.

The whole situation is freaking funny. Poor Anastasia, who had planned a purple-themed dinner. She must have been so disappointed when everyone was sick and couldn't enjoy the dinner as she had hoped.

But you know, even in the midst of this chaos, there are still some humorous moments. Maybe it's the way the characters react to getting chicken pox or the expressions on their faces.

Overall, it's a great story that combines elements of comedy and a bit of drama. It makes you laugh and also feel a little sorry for Anastasia and her purple-themed dinner that didn't quite go as planned.

The Anastasia series was truly one of my all-time favorite book series during my childhood. There were two main reasons for this. Firstly, the main character shared the same name as me, Anastasia, which made it feel extremely personal and special. Secondly, the series was just so irresistibly cute.

I still remember the day when I unexpectedly came across one of the Anastasia books at a thrift store. I was overjoyed and couldn't believe my luck. Without hesitation, I bought it and decided to read it as the first book for my "YA of the 80's & 90's" book challenge.

The book was indeed very cute. It was filled with the typical dramas and adventures that kids experience, which vividly reminded me of my own life when I was that age. It brought back a flood of memories and made me feel a sense of nostalgia. Reading this book was like taking a trip down memory lane and it was truly a wonderful experience.

I have to say that this is a pretty good book. Lois Lowry has won again! It can be extremely stressful to take care of a house, a brother who has chicken pox, and at the same time, create the first date of your dreams. Lois Lowry expresses all of those emotions and situations perfectly. She uses such good figurative language that it really brings the story to life. You can almost feel the stress and excitement along with the characters. The way she describes the details makes it easy to imagine the scenes in your mind. It's a truly engaging read that keeps you hooked from start to finish.
