The Moon books initially had a rather promising start. The story seemed to unfold in an interesting and engaging manner.

However, the introduction of a so-called "other" world really threw me off. It was a bit of a sudden and unexpected twist that I wasn't entirely fond of.

I have always been a fan of Were novels, but this new addition didn't quite sit well with me. It felt like it disrupted the flow and the established narrative of the series.

Maybe it was just my personal preference, but I would have preferred if the story had continued to focus on the original elements and characters without this new and somewhat jarring introduction.

Overall, while the Moon books had their good points, this particular aspect left me feeling a bit disappointed.

I simply couldn't do it. No matter how hard I tried, I just could not get into this book. I have a passion for werewolves and all the strange and exciting things that come with them, but this particular one was truly dreadful for me. There were numerous moments that left me completely flabbergasted, thinking: "Wait, what?"

I found it impossible to get into this story mainly because the main male character, Lance, was extremely misogynistic and egotistical. He didn't seem to care at all if he took advantage of Savannah. This aspect alone turned me away from the book in an instant.

Even though I made a genuine effort to immerse myself in the story, the vocabulary presented a significant obstacle. I constantly got blocked up by words that simply didn't make sense to me. As a result, my ability as a reader to fully engage with the book was greatly hindered.

This book is definitely not for me! I do enjoy aggressive and mysterious elements in a story, but this one just didn't have what it takes to capture my interest.

I did not enjoy this installment of the Moon series as much as the previous four.

There was simply too much kinky sex in it, which felt rather excessive and detracted from the overall story.

And then there was an other-dimensional psychic vampire. Really? It seemed a bit far-fetched.

Well, I guess if I can accept werewolves (and I can), I should be able to accept Boralas, the psychic vampire.

But I REALLY hope he doesn't make a repeat appearance in future volumes.

His presence just didn't sit well with me and I felt it took the series in a direction that I wasn't particularly fond of.

I'm still a fan of the Moon series overall, but this installment was definitely a bit of a letdown for me.

I'm hoping that the next volume will return to the elements that made the previous ones so enjoyable.
