Review posted on my blog.

I recently read a fascinating book called "Celtic Tree Mysteries" and I just had to share my thoughts with you all. This book delves deep into the rich and ancient world of Celtic tree lore. It explores the significance and symbolism of different trees in Celtic culture, providing a wealth of information and insights. The author's research is extensive and well-presented, making it an engaging read for both those with a general interest in Celtic mythology and those who are more deeply immersed in the subject. Each chapter focuses on a particular tree, discussing its characteristics, its connection to the Celtic gods and goddesses, and its use in Celtic rituals and magic. The illustrations throughout the book add an extra dimension, bringing the tree mysteries to life. Overall, "Celtic Tree Mysteries" is a captivating and informative book that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in Celtic culture or the mysteries of nature.

This is an absolutely fantastic book that is filled with an abundance of tree lore. It goes far beyond just being about divination.

One of the aspects that I truly appreciate about it is its emphasis on getting you to establish a connection with the trees. It encourages you to look beyond the surface and really understand the essence of these magnificent beings.

However, there are a couple of instances where it gives the impression that the meaning of the trees is being somewhat forced to conform to a specific linear progression as you move through the grove. This can make it feel a little less organic at times.

Nevertheless, despite this minor drawback, I would still highly recommend it as a very strong book. It offers a wealth of knowledge and insights into the world of trees that can enhance your understanding and appreciation of nature.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced enthusiast, this book has something valuable to offer. So, if you have an interest in trees and want to explore their lore in more depth, this is definitely a book worth checking out.

3.5. Surprisingly, this is a very well-researched book for a Llewellyn publication. In fact, the first part of it I found to be extremely well researched. The amount of detail and the depth of exploration in that initial section are truly impressive. It shows a great deal of effort and dedication on the part of the author. However, in my view, the rest of the book seems to be more based on UPG (unverified personal gnosis). While this can be interesting and offer new perspectives, it lacks the same level of academic rigor as the first part. Nevertheless, I did like the exercises that the author included in the book. They add a practical element and allow the reader to engage with the material on a more hands-on level. Overall, despite its flaws, this book has some redeeming qualities and can be a valuable addition to the library of those interested in the subject matter.

I firmly believe that the author is feigning an air of knowing far more than anyone else, and this is highly suspect. It is yet another prime illustration of the concept of "What I Wish Was True".

The author seems to be presenting ideas and information in a way that gives the impression of superior knowledge, but upon closer examination, there are many gaps and uncertainties.

It is as if the author is trying to convince the reader of something that may not necessarily be based on solid facts or evidence.

This kind of behavior can be quite misleading and can cause the reader to form incorrect opinions or beliefs.

It is important for readers to be critical and discerning when evaluating the work of an author and to not simply accept everything at face value.

By doing so, we can avoid being misled by those who may be trying to pass off their wishes and fantasies as truth.

Surprisingly scholarly, for a Llewellyn book.

I was truly enjoying it very much. The content was so engaging and filled with interesting details. However, I had to return it to the library as my borrowing period was up.

This book has left such an impression on me that I have decided to buy it. That way, I can practice the things entailed within at my own pace.

Making Ogham sticks seems like a fascinating activity, and learning to commune with trees is something I'm really looking forward to exploring further.

Owning the book will give me the freedom to refer back to it whenever I need and fully immerse myself in the wonderful world it presents.

I can't wait to have my own copy and continue my journey of discovery with this remarkable book.
