not sure if the same series, but in elementary i read a series called...YOU WERE THERE....on the oregon trail, the sante fe trail, etc. other historical places and times. They were wonderful, i read them all. Maybe THAT'S why i love history so much!

Why is a king allowed to stay in charge if he is crazy? Why were the king and the big general both named George? Why did the colonies want to separate from England? Why were the colonies attached to England to start with?

What to wear, how to travel, what to eat - SHOOT YOUR OWN SQUIRREL unless someone is keeping that squirrel as a pet.

Easy read. There were a few interesting facts, but most was pretty general information. I did learn that Thomas Jefferson was a vegetarian.

A very rich resource for historical information, creatively written to engage young readers. The book's vivid descriptions and question-and-answer format make it an enjoyable read, even for adults. It's an excellent educational tool that brings the past to life.
