I actually read this book at my friend's sleepover. I was so engrossed in it that I stayed up until like 5 in the morning reading it! It was an amazing experience. I loved this book because, well, Bob Marley is my absolute favorite music artist. His music has always inspired me and touched my soul. This book delved deep into his life, his music, and his beliefs, and it was truly a fascinating read. However, I must admit that if you don't like Bob Marley, this book is really not for you. It's specifically tailored for those who have a passion for his music and want to know more about the man behind the legend. So, to all you classic music lovers out there, I really think you guys would love this book. It's a must-read for anyone who appreciates the beauty and power of music.
I have to be honest. As a Marley fan of over 25 years, I was a little hesitant about this book at first. Having read "Catch a Fire" by Timothy White, Don Taylor was portrayed as a no good thief and hustler. However, after reading this book, it completely changed my mind about Marley, Rita, Cedella, and most of all, Don.
This is truly a must-read for all Marley fans who渴望a 360-degree concept of the life of a Legend and his short life on this earth. The book provides a more in-depth and nuanced look at the people and events that surrounded Marley, painting a more complete picture than other accounts.
I would rate this book 4 stars all the way. I deducted one star because of the credibility of some instances. While the author does a great job of presenting new information and perspectives, there are a few parts that seem a bit too good to be true or lack sufficient evidence to support them. Nevertheless, this is still an excellent book that any Marley fan should add to their collection.
