I think that "No Place For You, My Love" had a profound impact on my life sometime last week.

This song, with its powerful lyrics and soul-stirring melody, seemed to reach into the very depths of my being.

It made me reflect on my own relationships and the choices I have made.

The words spoke to my heart, as if they were written specifically for me.

I found myself listening to the song over and over again, each time discovering something new.

It gave me a sense of comfort and understanding, as if I was not alone in my feelings.

Since hearing this song, I have noticed a change in my perspective.

I am more aware of the importance of love and the need to cherish those around me.

"No Place For You, My Love" has truly become a part of my life and will always hold a special place in my heart.

For some time now, I have been eager to read Eudora Welty. I saw her name alongside those of Flannery O’Connor, Carson McCullers, and Katherine Anne Porter, so I was curious and, for the same reason, my expectations were high. However, I think Welty is not for me, or at least not now.

It's not that she is bad (which she isn't), but I had a hard time reading her, I had trouble connecting with her characters. Her prose, although it can be beautiful, is very slow and lacks emphasis. It was the same whether she was describing a landscape or an accident. I easily got lost and had trouble paying attention. The fact that her stories were so slow and subtle (something that in general doesn't bother me, or even that I like) didn't help. And neither did the fact that her stories were so long.

At her best moments, she gave me the feeling of being in front of a huge painting. But other times she left me drowsy, as if slipping into a hazy dream.

In any case, of the four books that make up this volume, I will keep "Las manzanas doradas", in which she follows the inhabitants of Morgana, Mississippi, throughout their lives, with characters who come and go in her stories, which allows us to get to know them deeply and see them evolve. And also because it contains "La lluvia de oro", one of the few stories in which she does something different in terms of her type of narrator.

I think Welty writes well and has a lot to offer, but perhaps her "Cuentos completos", almost a thousand pages long, is not the best first approach. Perhaps it is better to read her in smaller doses. In any case, I will stick with O’Connor and McCullers.

Maybe I am not smart enough or lack the necessary motivation to truly understand the essence and significance of these stories.

As I was reading, I often had the feeling that I was just about to reach the exciting climax when suddenly it would end.

Yeah, it was exactly like that last sentence. There were indeed some very interesting and realistic characters, and the dialogue was quite engaging.

However, it was as if I was eavesdropping on other people's conversations at the salon, and just when I thought I was going to hear the really good part, my haircut would be finished and I would have to leave.

Sigh. It's a bit disappointing, really. I hope that in the future, I can find stories that are more fulfilling and satisfying, ones that don't leave me with this sense of incompleteness.

Maybe with more practice and a deeper understanding, I will be able to better appreciate the true value of these literary works.

This is a book that belongs to the Gibson 100 list.

I not only listened to it but also read it, and it was truly a challenging experience.

It likely took me several months to make my way through this collection.

The book is written with remarkable skill, yet none of the stories really struck a chord with me.

I'm not sure if I could have completed it without the assistance of the audiobook.

I have a feeling that perhaps I should seek out a fan of Eudora Welty and inquire about what I might be overlooking in this book.

Maybe there are hidden depths or subtleties that I failed to perceive.

It could be that my personal tastes and preferences simply didn't align with the style and themes of these stories.

Nevertheless, I'm still curious to know what others might find so appealing about this work.

Perhaps a conversation with a dedicated fan could offer some valuable insights and help me to appreciate the book in a new light.
