If you identify as an evangelical Christian and are unable to extract something of value from an author who holds beliefs divergent from your own, then this book is most definitely not for you. That being stated, this is without a doubt the single finest book I have ever perused regarding manhood. I firmly believe that every man ought to read this. Rohr expounds upon numerous reasons why men encounter difficulties in "growing up" and leading a life centered around others. He enumerates five essential truths that men must come to terms with: Life is arduous. You are not of utmost importance. Your life is not solely about you. You are not in complete control. You are going to die. These truths, while perhaps uncomfortable, are crucial for men to understand in order to achieve true maturity and live a life that is fulfilling and meaningful.
