This guide is truly colorful and extremely helpful. It has been well used and is now showing some signs of wear. I might have to seriously consider investing in the hardcover edition (a little hint to my family).

As usual, it has been a great aid during those few extremely puzzling moments when that extra bit of help is desperately needed. However, it is not without its flaws. They do have some errors. For instance, there is one error that sends you to the wrong bridge top for a chest/item. This caused quite a bit of frustration as I searched high and low trying to figure out where it really was.

The typo's were also a bit annoying. They distracted from the overall usefulness of the guide. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the hardcover edition will be done better and will not have these same issues.

I still think this guide is a valuable resource, despite its flaws, and I would recommend it to others who are in need of some assistance with their game.

Mr. Hodgson's directions in the guide are extremely clear. Using compass directions instead of the more common "look left" or "run right" was indeed a brilliant idea.

If you are considering purchasing a guide for this game, I would highly recommend getting the hardback "collectors edition". The reason being that the binding of the paperback version does not hold up very well.

Although I still have all the pages intact, unfortunately, 4 or 5 of them have become loose.

This has caused a bit of inconvenience during our gaming sessions.

Nevertheless, the clear directions provided by Mr. Hodgson have made up for this minor drawback to some extent.
